Hadith 3

-asws was free from the midday Salat, said: ‘O Allah-azwj! I draw closer to You-azwj with Your-azwj Generousity and Your-azwj Benevolence, and I draw closer to You-azwj by Muhammad-saww, Your-azwj servant and Your-azwj Rasool-saww, and I draw closer the You-azwj by Your-azwj Angels of Proximity and Your-azwj Messenger Prophets-as! O Allah-azwj! With You-azwj is the needlessness from me and with me is the destitution to You‑azwj! You-azwj are the rich and I am the poor to You-azwj! You-azwj have Reduced my stumbles and Concealed my sins upon me, so Fulfill my needs today and do not Punish me for the ugliness what You-azwj Know from me, for Your-azwj Pardon and Your-azwj Generousity Suffices me! ’
Then fall in Sajdah and say, ‘O rightful of being feared and rightful of the Forgiving! O Righteous! O Merciful! You-azwj are more righteous with me than my father and my mothers, and more thane entirety of the creatures! Turn me by Fulfilling my needs, Answering my supplication, Mercy my voice! The doors of afflictions have been removed from me! ’
I am saying, ‘In the book ‘Al-Istidrak’, he mentioned the supplication after two Cycles Salat of the midday up to his-asws words: ‘Your-azwj Pardon and Your Generousity Suffices me’, we return to a report of the Seyyid’’. [9]
And from that is what I am reporting by my chain to my grandfather Abu Ja’far Al Tusi, he, may Allah-azwj be Satisfied with him, said, ‘And it is reported from him-asws, meaning Ja’far-asws Bin Muhammad-asws as follow up of the two Cycles except that she should say before the midday: ‘O Allah-azwj! I draw closer to You‑azwj by Your-azwj Generousity and Your-azwj Benevolence, and I seek intercession to You-azwj by Muhammad-saww Your-azwj servant and Your-azwj Rasool-saww! And I ask You-azwj to Send Salawaat upon Muhammad-azwj, Your-azwj servant and Your-azwj Rasool-saww, and I ask You-azwj to Send Salawaat upon Your-azwj Angels of Proximity, and to Reduce my stumbles and Conceal my sins upon me and Forgive these for me, and Fulfill my needs today, and do not Punish me for my ugly deeds, for Your-azwj Pardon and Your-azwj Generosity Suffices me! ’
Then do Sajdah and say, ‘O rightful of being feared, and O rightful of the Forgiving! You-azwj are better for me than my father and my mother and the people in their entirety, and there is need for me to You-azwj and poverty and destitution, for You-azwj are needless of Punishing me! I ask you-azwj to Reduce my stumbles and to Turn me by Fulfilling my needs, and Answer my supplication for me, and mercy my voice, and Restrain the types of afflictions from me by Your-azwj Mercy, O most Merciful of the merciful ones! ’
And say, ‘I seek Shelter with Allah-azwj from the Hellfire’, seventy times. When you raised your head from the Sajdah, say, ‘O Legislator of the upright religion to His-azwj Angels, and O Satisfied with from them for Himself-azwj, and O Creator of the ones besides the Angels from His-azwj creatures for the Testing with His-azwj religion, and O Selector of Messengers-as from His-azwj creatures for His-azwj religion, and Rewarder of the people of religion for what they had done in the religion!
