َهُ اللَّهُ
ثُمَّ انْطَلَقُوا بِعَلِيٍّ ع يُتَلُ حَتَّى انْتُهِيَ بِهِ إِلَى أَبِي بَكْرٍ وَ عُمَرُ قَائِمٌ بِالسَّيْفِ عَلَى رَأْسِهِ وَ خَالِدُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ وَ أَبُو عُبَيْدَةَ بْنُ الْجَرَّاحِ وَ سَالِمٌ مَوْلَى أَبِي حُذَيْفَةَ وَ مُعَاذُ بْنُ جَبَلٍ وَ الْمُغِيرَةُ بْنُ شُعْبَةَ وَ أُسَيْدُ بْنُ حُضَيْرٍ وَ بَشِيرُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ وَ سَائِرُ النَّاسِ حَوْلَ أَبِي بَكْرٍ عَلَيْهِمُ السِّلَاحُ
قَالَ قُلْتُ لِسَلْمَانَ أَ دَخَلُوا عَلَى فَاطِمَةَ بِغَيْرِ إِذْنٍ قَالَ إِي وَ اللَّهِ وَ مَا عَلَيْهَا خِمَارٌ فَنَادَتْ يَا أَبَتَاهْ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ فَلَبِئْسَ مَا خَلَفَكَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ وَ عُمَرُ وَ عَيْنَاكَ لَمْ تَتَفَقَّأْ فِي قَبْرِكَ تُنَادِي بِأَعْلَى صَوْتِهَا
فَلَقَدْ رَأَيْتُ أَبَا بَكْرٍ وَ مَنْ حَوْلَهُ يَبْكُونَ مَا فِيهِمْ إِلَّا بَاكٍ غَيْرَ عُمَرَ وَ خَالِدِ بْنِ الْوَلِيدِ وَ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ شُعْبَةَ وَ عُمَرُ يَقُولُ إِنَّا لَسْنَا مِنَ النِّسَاءِ وَ رَأْيِهِنَّ فِي شَيْءٍ
قَالَ فَانْتَهَوْا بِعَلِيٍّ ع إِلَى أَبِي بَكْرٍ وَ هُوَ يَقُولُ أَمَا وَ اللَّهِ لَوْ وَقَعَ سَيْفِي فِي يَدِي لَعَلِمْتُمْ أَنَّكُمْ لَمْ تَصِلُوا إِلَى هَذَا أَبَداً أَمَا وَ اللَّهِ مَا أَلُومُ نَفْسِي فِي جِهَادِكُمْ وَ لَوْ كُنْتُ أَسْتَمْسِكُ مِنْ أَرْبَعِينَ رَجُلًا لَفَرَّقْتُ جَمَاعَتَكُمْ وَ لَكِنْ لَعَنَ اللَّهُ أَقْوَاماً بَايَعُونِي ثُمَّ خَذَلُونِي
وَ لَمَّا أَنْ بَصُرَ بِهِ أَبُو بَكْرٍ صَاحَ خَلُّوا سَبِيلَهُ فَقَالَ عَلِيٌّ ع يَا أَبَا بَكْرٍ مَا أَسْرَعَ مَا تَوَثَّبْتُمْ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ص بِأَيِّ حَقٍّ وَ بِأَيِّ مَنْزِلَةٍ دَعَوْتَ النَّاسَ إِلَى بَيْعَتِكَ أَ لَمْ تُبَايِعْنِي بِالْأَمْسِ بِأَمْرِ اللَّهِ وَ أَمْرِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ
وَ قَدْ كَانَ قُنْفُذٌ لَعَنَهُ اللَّهُ ضَرَبَ فَاطِمَةَ ع بِالسَّوْطِ حِينَ حَالَتْ بَيْنَهُ وَ بَيْنَ زَوْجِهَا وَ أَرْسَلَ إِلَيْهِ عُمَرُ إِنْ حَالَتْ بَيْنَكَ وَ بَيْنَهُ فَاطِمَةُ فَاضْرِبْهَا فَأَلْجَأَهَا قُنْفُذٌ إِلَى عِضَادَةِ بَيْتِهَا وَ دَفَعَهَا فَكَسَرَ ضِلْعاً مِنْ جَنْبِهَا فَأَلْقَتْ جَنِيناً مِنْ بَطْنِهَا فَلَمْ تَزَلْ صَاحِبَةَ فِرَاشٍ حَتَّى مَاتَتْ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهَا مِنْ ذَلِكَ شَهِيدَةً
قَالَ وَ لَمَّا انْتُهِيَ بِعَلِيٍّ ع إِلَى أَبِي بَكْرٍ انْتَهَرَهُ عُمَرُ وَ قَالَ لَهُ بَايِعْ وَ دَعْ عَنْكَ هَذِهِ الْأَبَاطِيلَ فَقَالَ لَهُ عَلِيٌّ ع فَإِنْ لَمْ أَفْعَلْ فَمَا أَنْتُمْ صَانِعُونَ
قَالُوا نَقْتُلُكَ ذُلًّا وَ صَغَاراً فَقَالَ إِذاً تَقْتُلُونَ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ وَ أَخَا رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ص قَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ أَمَّا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ فَنَعَمْ وَ أَمَّا أَخُو رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ص فَمَا نُقِرُّ لَكَ بِ
alid Bin Al-Waleed and Abu Ubeyda Bin Al-Jarrah, and Saalim Mawla Abu Huzeyfa, and Muaz Bin Jabal, and Al-Mugheira Bin Shu’ba, and Aseyd Bin Huzeyr, and Bashir Bin Sa’ad. And the rest of the people were around Abu Bakr, having the weapons upon them’. He (Suleym) said, ‘I said to Salman-ra, ‘They entered upon (the house of) (Syeda) Fatima-asws without permission? ’ He-ra said, ‘Yes, by Allah-azwj! There was no scarf upon her-asws. She-asws called out: ‘O father-saww! O Rasool-Allah-saww! Evil is what Abu Bakr and Umar have replaced you-saww, and your-saww have not even closed in your-saww grave’, calling out at the top of her-asws voice. And Abu Bakr and the ones around him were seen to be crying. There was no one among them except he cried, apart from Umar, and Khalid Bin Al-Waleed, and Al-Mugheira Bin Shuba, and Umar said, ‘We have nothing to do with women and their opinions’. He (Salman-ra) said, ‘They ended up with Ali-asws to Abu Bakr, and he-asws was saying: ‘But, by Allah-azwj, if my-asws sword were to fall into my-asws hand, you would have known, you could not have come to this, ever! But, by Allah-azwj! And if I-asws could have got hold of forty men, I-asws would have dispersed your group, but may Allah-azwj Curse the people who pledged allegiance to me-asws, then abandoned me-asws! ’
When Abu Bakr sighted him-asws, he shouted, ‘Free his way! ’ Ali-asws said: ‘O Abu Bakr! How quickly you have proven to be against Rasool-Allah-azwj. By which status did you call the people to your allegiance? Did you not pledge allegiance to me yesterday by the Command of Allah-azwj and the order of Rasool-Allah-saww? ’
And Qunfuz-la, may Allah-azwj Curse him-la, had hit (Syeda) Fatima-asws with the whip when she-asws blocked between him and her-asws husband-asws, and Umar had sent a message to him, ‘If (Syeda) Fatima-asws were to come between you and him-asws, then hit her-asws’. Qunfuz-la lashed her-asws and she-asws sheltered the frame of her-asws house, and he pushed it and broke her-asws ribs from her-asws side. Her-asws unborn child was martyred in her-asws lap. She-asws did not cease to be in bed until she-asws passed away from that, a martyr’. He (Salman-ra) said, ‘And when they ended with Ali-asws to Abu Bakr, Umar snubbed him-asws and said to him-asws, ‘Pledge allegiance and leave these falsities from you-asws’. Ali-asws said to him: ‘Supposing I-asws don’t do it, then what will you be doing? ’
They said, ‘We will kill you-asws disgracefully and belittling’. He-asws said: ‘Then you would be killing a servant of Allah-azwj and a brother-asws of Rasool-Allah-saww’. Abu bakr said, ‘As for (you-asws being) a servant of Allah-azwj, so yes, and as for (you-asws being) a brother-asws of Rasool-Allah-saww, we do not acknowledge to you-asws with this’. He-asws said: ‘Are you rejecting that Rasool-Allah-saww established brother-hood between me-asws and him-saww? ’ He said, ‘Yes’. He-asws repeated to him repeatedly.
