جش، الفهرست للنجاشي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ يُوسُفَ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ الْحَكَمِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي رَافِعٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَبِي رَافِعٍ قَالَ: دَخَلْتُ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ص وَ هُوَ نَائِمٌ أَوْ يُوحَى إِلَيْهِ وَ إِذَا حَيَّةٌ فِي جَانِبِ الْبَيْتِ فَكَرِهْتُ أَنْ أَقْتُلَهَا فَأُوقِظَهُ فَاضْطَجَعْتُ بَيْنَهُ وَ بَيْنَ الْحَيَّةِ حَتَّى إِنْ كَانَ مِنْهَا سُوءٌ يَكُونُ لِي دُونَهُ
فَاسْتَيْقَظَ وَ هُوَ يَتْلُو هَذِهِ الْآيَةَ إِنَّما وَلِيُّكُمُ اللَّهُ وَ رَسُولُهُ وَ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا الَّذِينَ يُقِيمُونَ الصَّلاةَ وَ يُؤْتُونَ الزَّكاةَ وَ هُمْ راكِعُونَ
ثُمَّ قَالَ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي أَكْمَلَ لِعَلِيٍّ مِنَّتَهُ وَ هَنِيئاً لِعَلِيٍّ بِتَفْضِيلِ اللَّهِ إِيَّاهُ
ثُمَّ الْتَفَتَ فَرَآنِي إِلَى جَانِبِهِ فَقَالَ مَا أَضْجَعَكَ هَاهُنَا يَا أَبَا رَافِعٍ فَأَخْبَرْتُهُ خَبَرَ الْحَيَّةِ فَقَالَ قُمْ إِلَيْهَا فَاقْتُلْهَا فَقَتَلْتُهَا
ثُمَّ أَخَذَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ص بِيَدِي فَقَالَ يَا أَبَا رَافِعٍ كَيْفَ أَنْتَ وَ قَوْمٌ يُقَاتِلُونَ عَلِيّاً وَ هُوَ عَلَى الْحَقِّ وَ هُمْ عَلَى الْبَاطِلِ يَكُونُ فِي حَقِّ اللَّهِ جِهَادُهُمْ فَمَنْ لَمْ يَسْتَطِعْ جِهَادَهُمْ فَبِقَلْبِهِ فَمَنْ لَمْ يَسْتَطِعْ فَلَيْسَ وَرَاءَ ذَلِكَ شَيْءٌ
فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ادْعُ لِي إِنْ أَدْرَكْتُهُمْ أَنْ ي
(The book) ‘Al Fihrist’ of Al Najashy – Muhammad Bin Ja’far, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad Bin Saeed, from Ahmad Bin Yusuf, from Ali Bin Al Husayn Bin Al Husayn Bin Ali Bin Al Husayn Bin Ali Bin Abu Talib, from Ismail Bin Muhammad Bin Abdullah Bin Ali Bin Al Husay, from Ismail Bin Al Hakam, from Abdullah Bin Ubeydullah Bin Abu Rafie from his father, from Rafie who said, ‘I entered to see Rasool-Allah-saww and he-saww was either asleep or it was being Revealed unto him-saww, and there was a snake in a side of the house. I disliked to kill it and awaken him-saww, so I lied down between him-saww and the snake so that if there would be any evil from it, it would happen to be for me, rather than him-saww. He-saww woke up and he-saww was reciting this Verse: But rather, your Guardian is Allah, and His Rasool, and those who are believing, those who are establishing the Salat and are giving the Zakat while they are performing Ruku [5: 55]. Then he-saww said: ‘The Praise is for Allah-azwj Who Perfected for Ali-asws His-azwj Conferment, and congratulations to Ali-asws with the Preferencing by Allah-azwj of him-asws’. Then he-saww turned around and saw me to his-saww side. He-saww said: ‘What made you lie down over here, O Abu Rafie? ’ I informed him the news of the snake. He-saww said: ‘Arise to it and kill it! ’ I killed it. Then Rasool-Allah-saww grabbed my-asws hand and said: ‘O Abu Rafie! How would it be with you and the group fighting against Ali-asws, and he-asws would be upon the truth, and they upon the falsehood. Their Jihad would happen to be regarding a Right of Allah-azwj. So, the one who has not capacity to fight them, then (dislike) it in his heart. The one who is not able, then there isn’t anything beyond that’. I said, ‘O Rasool-Allah-azwj!
