أَقُولُ، وَجَدْتُ فِي بَعْضِ مُؤَلَّفَاتِ أَصْحَابِنَا أَنَّهُ رُوِيَ مُرْسَلًا عَنْ جَمَاعَةٍ مِنَ الصَّحَابَةِ قَالُوا دَخَلَ النَّبِيُّ ص دَارَ فَاطِمَةَ ع فَقَالَ يَا فَاطِمَةُ إِنَّ أَبَاكِ الْيَوْمَ ضَيْفُكِ فَقَالَتْ ع يَا أَبَتِ إِنَّ الْحَسَنَ وَ الْحُسَيْنَ يُطَالِبَانِّي بِشَيْءٍ مِنَ الزَّادِ فَلَمْ أَجِدْ لَهُمَا شَيْئاً يَقْتَاتَانِ بِهِ
ثُمَّ إِنَّ النَّبِيَّ ص دَخَلَ وَ جَلَسَ مَعَ عَلِيٍّ وَ الْحَسَنِ وَ الْحُسَيْنِ وَ فَاطِمَةَ ع وَ فَاطِمَةُ مُتَحَيِّرَةٌ مَا تَدْرِي كَيْفَ تَصْنَعُ ثُمَّ إِنَّ النَّبِيَّ ص نَظَرَ إِلَى السَّمَاءِ سَاعَةً وَ إِذَا بِجَبْرَئِيلَ ع قَدْ نَزَلَ وَ قَالَ يَا مُحَمَّدُ الْعَلِيُّ الْأَعْلَى يُقْرِئُكَ السَّلَامَ وَ يَخُصُّكَ بِالتَّحِيَّةِ وَ الْإِكْرَامِ وَ يَقُولُ لَكَ قُلْ لِعَلِيٍّ وَ فَاطِمَةَ وَ الْحَسَنِ وَ الْحُسَيْنِ أَيَّ شَيْءٍ يَشْتَهُونَ مِنْ فَوَاكِهِ الْجَنَّةِ
فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ص يَا عَلِيُّ وَ يَا فَاطِمَةُ وَ يَا حَسَنُ وَ يَا حُسَيْنُ إِنَّ رَبَّ الْعِزَّةِ عَلِمَ أَنَّكُمْ جِيَاعٌ فَأَيَّ شَيْءٍ تَشْتَهُونَ مِنْ فَوَاكِهِ الْجَنَّةِ فَأَمْسَكُوا عَنِ الْكَلَامِ وَ لَمْ يَرُدُّوا جَوَاباً حَيَاءً مِنَ النَّبِيِّ ص
فَقَالَ الْحُسَيْنُ ع عَنْ إِذْنِكَ يَا أَبَاهْ يَا أَمِيرَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَ عَنْ إِذْنِكِ يَا أُمَّاهْ يَا سَيِّدَةَ نِسَاءِ الْعَالَمِينَ وَ عَنْ إِذْنِكَ يَا أَخَاهْ الْحَسَنَ الزَّكِيَّ أَخْتَارُ لَكُمْ شَيْئاً مِنْ فَوَاكِهِ الْجَنَّةِ
فَقَالُوا جَمِيعاً قُلْ يَا حُسَيْنُ مَا شِئْتَ فَقَدْ رَضِينَا بِمَا تَخْتَارُهُ لَنَا فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قُلْ لِجَبْرَئِيلَ إِنَّا نَشْتَهِي رُطَباً جَنِيّاً فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ص قَدْ عَلِمَ اللَّهُ ذَلِكَ
ثُمَّ قَالَ يَا فَاطِمَةُ قُومِي وَ ادْخُلِي الْبَيْتَ وَ أَحْضِرِي إِلَيْنَا مَا فِيهِ فَدَخَلَتْ فَرَأَتْ فِيهِ طَبَقاً مِنَ الْبِلَّوْرِ مُغَطًّى بِمِنْدِيلٍ مِنَ السُّنْدُسِ الْأَخْضَرِ وَ فِيهِ رُطَبٌ جَنِيٌّ فِي غَيْرِ أَوَانِهِ
فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ يَا فَاطِمَةُ أَنَّى لَكِ هذا قالَتْ هُوَ مِنْ عِنْدِ اللَّهِ إِنَّ اللَّهَ يَرْزُقُ مَنْ يَشاءُ بِغَيْرِ حِسابٍ كَمَا قَالَتْ مَرْيَمُ بِنْتُ عِمْرَانَ
فَقَامَ النَّبِيُّ ص وَ تَنَاوَلَهُ وَ قَدَّمَهُ بَيْنَ أَيْدِيهِمْ ثُمَّ قَالَ بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمنِ الرَّحِيمِ ثُمَّ أَخَذَ رُطَبَةً وَاحِدَةً فَوَضَعَهَا فِي فَمِ الْحُسَيْنِ ع فَقَالَ هَنِيئاً مَرِيئاً لَكَ يَا حُسَيْنُ ثُمَّ أَخَذَ رُطَبَةً فَوَضَعَهَا ف
I (Majlisi) am saying, ‘I found in one of the compilations of our companions, having been reported with an unbroken chain from a group of the companions. They said, ‘The Prophet-saww entered the house of (Syeda) Fatima-asws. He-saww said: ‘O Fatima-asws! Today, your-asws father-saww is your-asws guest’. She-asws said: ‘O father-saww! Al-Hassan-asws and Al-Husayn-asws are requesting for something from the provisions (food). Can you-saww something for them-asws they-asws can feed with? ’
Then the Prophet-saww entered and sat with Ali-asws, and Al-Hassan-asws, and Al-Husayn-asws, and Fatima-asws. And (Syeda) Fatima-asws was confused not know how she-asws could make (a meal). Then the Prophet-saww looked at the sky for a while, and there was Jibraeel-as having had descended, and he-as said: ‘O Muhammad-saww! The most Exalted Conveys the Greetings to you-saww and Specialises you-saww with the salutation and the honour and Says to you-saww: “Say to Ali-asws, and (Syeda) Fatima-asws, and Al-Hassan-asws, and Al-Husayn-asws: ‘Which thing (to eat) are you-asws desiring from the fruits of Paradise? ”’
The Prophet-saww said: ‘O Ali-asws, and O Fatima-asws, and O Hassan-asws, and O Husayn-asws! The Lord-azwj of Mighty Knows you-asws are all hungry, so which thing are you-asws desiring from the fruits of Paradise? ’ They withheld from the speaking and did not respond any answer, out of bashfulness from the Prophet-saww. Al-Husayn-asws said, ‘By your-asws permission, O father-asws, O Amir Al-Momineen-asws, and by your-asws permission, O mother-asws, O chieftess of women of the worlds, and by your-asws permission, O brother-asws Al-Hassan-asws, the pure, shall I-asws choose something from the fruits of Paradise? ’
They-asws all said: ‘Speak, O Husayn-asws, whatever you-asws so desired to, for we-asws shall agree with whatever you-asws choose for us-asws’. He-asws said: ‘O Rasool-Allah-saww! Say to Jibraeel-as that we-asws crave for fresh dates’. The Prophet-saww said: ‘Allah-azwj has Known that’. Then he-saww said: ‘O Fatima-asws! Arise and enter the room and present to us-asws whatever is in it’. She-asws entered and saw therein a glass tray covered with a green silk towel, and in it were fresh dates in other than its season. The Prophet-saww said: ‘O Fatima-asws: From where does this come to you? ’ She said: ‘It is from Allah. Surely Allah Gives to whom He so Desires to without measure’ [3: 37], like what Maryam-as Bint Imran-as had said. The Prophet-saww stood up and took it and forwarded it in front of them-asws, then said: ‘In the Name of Allah-azwj the Beneficent, the Merciful’. Then he-saww took one date and placed it in the mouth of Al-Husayn-asws. He-saww said: ‘Good appetite to you-asws, O Husayn-asws! ’ Then he-saww took a date and placed it in the mouth of Al-Hassan-asws and said: ‘Good appet
