الْكَافِي، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبِي نَصْرٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ سِنَانٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع قَالَ: قُلْتُ لَهُ رَجُلٌ ذَهَبَتْ إِحْدَى بَيْضَتَيْهِ فَقَالَ إِنْ كَانَتِ الْيَسَارَ فَفِيهَا الدِّيَةُ
قُلْتُ وَ لِمَ أَ لَيْسَ قُلْتَ مَا كَانَ فِي الْجَسَدِ اثْنَانِ فَفِيهِ نِصْفُ الدِّيَةِ قَالَ لِأَنَّ الْوَلَدَ مِنَ الْبَيْضَةِ الْيُسْرَى.
(The book) ‘Al Kafi’ – From Ali Bin Ibrahim, from his father, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad Bin Abu Nasr, from Abdullah Bin Sinan, ‘From Abu Abdullah-asws, he (the narrator) said, ‘I said to him-asws, ‘A man, one of his eggs (balls) was gone’. He-asws said: ‘If it was the left, so regarding it is the wergild’. I said, ‘And why did you-asws not say that whatever were two in the body, so regarding it would be half the wergild? ’ He-asws said: ‘Because the child is from the left egg (testicle)’’. [118]
