Hadith 84

(The book) ‘Al Mahasin’ – My father, from Al Bazanty, from Abdul Kareem Al Halby, ‘From Abu Abdullah-asws, he (the narrator) said, ‘I said, ‘Why has kissing the (black) Stone Made to be? ’
He-asws said: ‘When Allah-azwj Took the Covenant of the children of Adam-as, He-azwj Called the Stone from the Paradise and Commanded it to swallow the Covenant. It swallowed it, so it will be testifying for the one being loyal to it with the truth’. I said, ‘Why as the Sa’ee Made to be between Al-Safa and Al Marwa? ’
He-asws said: ‘Because Iblees-la appeared to Ibrahim-as in the valley, so Ibrahim-as sprinted from his-la disliking to talk to him-la, and the stages of the Satan-la happened’. I said, ‘Why has the Talbiya Made to be? ’
He-asws said: ‘Because Allah-azwj Said to Ibrahim-as: And proclaim among the people with the (performance of) Hajj. [22: 27]. Ibrahim-as ascended upon a hill and called out and he-as was answered (responded to) from every direction’. I said, ‘Why has Al Tarwiya named as ‘Tarwiya? ’
He-asws said: ‘Because there did not happen to be any water at Arafaah, and rather they were carrying the water from Makkah. They used to call out to each other for their watering, so it was named as ‘The day of Al Tarwiyya’ (watering)’’. [148]
