Hadith 11

(The book) ‘Al Saraair’ – Copied from ‘Jamie’ of Al Bazanty, from Abdul Kareem Bin Amro, from Suleyman Bin Khalid, ‘From Abu Abdullah-asws, he (the narrator) said, ‘I said to him, ‘Which of the two is better, my advancing the two Cycles on the day of Friday or my praying these after the Prescribed Salat? ’
He-asws said: ‘You should pray these after the obligatory’’. [21]
And he mentioned as well from a man, ‘From Abu Abdullah-asws, he (the narrator) said, ‘I asked him-asws about the two Cycles of Salat, those which are before the midday on the day of Friday. He-asws said: ‘As for me-asws, when the sun declines, I-asws begin with the obligatory (Salat)’’. [22]
And from him, from Al Bazanty as well, from Abdullah Bin Ajlan who said, ‘Abu Ja’far-asws said: ‘When you were to doubt regarding the midday (decline of the sun), then pray two Cycles. When you are certain it has declined, begin with the obligatory (Salat)’’. [23]
And from him, copying from the book of Hareyz who said, ‘Abu Baseer said, ‘Abu Ja’far-asws said: ‘If you are able to pray twenty Cycles on the day of Friday, then do so – six after emergence of the sun, and six before the midday when the sun does emerge, and keep a gap between every two Cycles from your optional (Salats) with performing the Salaam, and two Cycles before the midday, and six Cycles after the Friday (Salat)’’. [24]
Explanation (Ahadeeth only) – And in a correct (Hadeeth) by Sa’ad Bin Sa’ad (in Al Tahzeeb), from Al-Reza-asws: ‘Six Cycles early morning, and six after that, and six Cycles after that, and two Cycles after the midday, and two Cycles after Al Asr, so these are twenty-two Cycles’’. And it is allowed to advance these in their entirety upon the midday due to a report by Ali Bin Yaqteen (in Al Tahzeeb) who said, ‘I asked Abu Al-Hassan-asws about the optional (Salat) which are pray on the day of Friday, ‘Is it better before the Friday (Salat) or after it? ’ He-asws said: ‘Before the Friday (Salat)’’. And it is reported by Sa’ad Bin Sa’ad, from Al-Reza-asws: ‘Six Cycles early morning, and six after that, and six after that, and two Cycles after the midday, and two Cycles after Al-Asr, so these are twenty-two Cycles’’. And it has been reported by Suleyman Bin Khalid (in Al-Tahzeeb), from Abu Abdullah-asws: ‘The optional (Salats) on the day of Friday are – six Cycles before decline of the sun, and two Cycles after its decline, and eight Cycles after the obligatory (Salat)’’.
