مِ كَتَبْتُ إِلَيْكَ يَا مَوْلَايَ صَلَوَاتُ اللَّهِ عَلَيْكَ مُسْتَغِيثاً وَ شَكَوْتُ مَا نَزَلَ بِي مُسْتَجِيراً بِاللَّهِ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ ثُمَّ بِكَ مِنْ أَمْرٍ قَدْ دَهِمَنِي وَ أَشْغَلَ قَلْبِي وَ أَطَالَ فِكْرِي وَ سَلَبَنِي بَعْضَ لُبِّي وَ غَيَّرَ خَطَرَ النِّعْمَةِ لِلَّهِ عِنْدِي
أَسْلَمَنِي عِنْدَ تَخَيُّلِ وُرُودِهِ الْخَلِيلُ وَ تَبَرَّأَ مِنِّي عِنْدَ تَرَائِي إِقْبَالِهِ لي [إِلَيَ] الْحَمِيمُ وَ عَجَزَتْ عَنْ دِفَاعِهِ حِيلَتِي وَ خَانَنِي فِي تَحَمُّلِهِ صَبْرِي وَ قُوَّتِي فَلَجَأْتُ فِيهِ إِلَيْكَ وَ تَوَكَّلْتُ فِي الْمَسْأَلَةِ لِلَّهِ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ ثَنَاؤُهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ عَلَيْكَ وَ فِي دِفَاعِهِ عَنِّي عِلْماً بِمَكَانِكَ مِنَ اللَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ وَلِيِّ التَّدْبِيرِ وَ مَالِكِ الْأُمُورِ
وَاثِقاً مِنْكَ بِالْمُسَارَعَةِ فِي الشَّفَاعَةِ إِلَيْهِ جَلَّ ثَنَاؤُهُ فِي أَمْرِي مُتَيَقِّناً لِإِجَابَتِهِ تَبَارَكَ وَ تَعَالَى إِيَّاكَ بِإِعْطَائِي سُؤْلِي وَ أَنْتَ يَا مَوْلَايَ جَدِيرٌ بِتَحْقِيقِ ظَنِّي وَ تَصْدِيقِ أَمَلِي فِيكَ فِي أَمْرِ كَذَا وَ كَذَا مِمَّا لَا طَاقَةَ لِي بِحَمْلِهِ وَ لَا صَبْرَ لِي عَلَيْهِ وَ إِنْ كُنْتُ مُسْتَحِقّاً لَهُ وَ لِأَضْعَافِهِ بِقَبِيحِ أَفْعَالِي وَ تَفْرِيطِي فِي الْوَاجِبَاتِ الَّتِي لِلَّهِ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ عَلَيَّ
فَأَغِثْنِي يَا مَوْلَايَ صَلَوَاتُ اللَّهِ عَلَيْكَ عِنْدَ اللَّهْفِ وَ قَدِّمِ الْمَسْأَلَةَ لِلَّهِ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ فِي أَمْرِي قَبْلَ حُلُولِ التَّلَفِ وَ شَمَاتَةِ الْأَعْدَاءِ فَبِكَ بَسَطَتِ النِّعْمَةُ عَلَيَّ وَ أَسْأَلُ اللَّهَ جَلَّ جَلَالُهُ لِي نَصْراً عَزِيزاً وَ فَتْحاً قَرِيباً فِيهِ بُلُوغُ الْآمَالِ وَ خَيْرُ الْمَبَادِي وَ خَوَاتِيمِ الْأَعْمَالِ وَ الْأَمْنِ مِنَ الْمَخَاوِفِ كُلِّهَا فِي كُلِّ حَالٍ إِنَّهُ جَلَّ ثَنَاؤُهُ لِمَا يَشَاءُ فَعَّالُ وَ هُوَ حَسْبِي وَ نِعْمَ الْوَكِيلُ فِي الْمَبْدَإِ وَ الْمَآلِ
ثُمَّ تَصْعَدُ النَّهَرَ أَوِ الْغَدِيرَ وَ تَعْتَمِدُ بِهِ بَعْضَ الْأَبْوَابِ إِمَّا عُثْمَانَ بْنَ سَعِيدٍ الْعَمْرِيَّ أَوْ وَلَدَهُ مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ عُثْمَانَ أَوِ الْحُسَيْنَ بْنَ رَوْحٍ أَوْ عَلِيَّ بْنَ مُحَمَّدٍ السَّمُرِيَّ فَهَؤُلَاءِ كَانُوا أَبْوَابَ الْإِمَامِ ع فَتُنَادِي بِأَحَدِهِمْ وَ تَقُولُ يَا فُلَانَ بْنَ فُلَانٍ سَلَامٌ عَلَيْكَ أَشْهَدُ أَنَّ وَفَاتَكَ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ وَ أَنْتَ حَيٌّ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ مَرْزُوقٌ وَ قَدْ خَاطَبْتُكَ فِي حَيَاتِكَ الَّتِي لَكَ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ جَلَّ وَ عَزَّ وَ هَذِهِ رُقْعَتِي وَ حَاجَتِي إِلَى مَوْلَانَا ع فَسَلِّمْهَا إِلَيْهِ فَأَنْتَ الثِّقَةُ الْأَمِينُ
ثُمَّ ارْمِ بِهَا فِي النَّهَرِ وَ كَأَنَّكَ تُخَيَّلُ لَكَ أَنَّكَ تُسَلِّمُهَا إِلَيْهِ فَإِنَّهَا تَصِلُ وَ تُقْضَى الْحَاجَةُ إِنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى. اسْتِغَاثَةٌ أُخْرَى رَوَى الْمُفَضَّل
and the bounties of Allah-azwj in my possession have changed. The friend yielded me when I imagined his affection, and the intimate one disavowed from me when I anticipated his coming to me, and my means were unable from pushing him away, and my patience and my strength betrayed me in enduring it, so I have sought shelter to you‑ajfj and have relied in the request to Allah-azwj Mighty and Majestic, laudation be upon Him‑azwj and upon you-ajfj, and in repelling it from me knowing of your-ajfj position from Allah‑azwj Lord-azwj of the worlds as one in charge of the management and controller of the affairs. I am confident in your-ajfj hastening towards interceding for me to Him-azwj, praising His-azwj Glory in my affairs, assured of His-azwj Response, Blessed and Exalted be He-azwj to you-ajfj. I ask you-ajfj my Master-ajfj to grant my request, for you-ajfj are indeed worthy of fulfilling my expectations and confirming my hope in you-ajfj regarding such and such matter, which I am incapable of bearing or enduring, even though I may not deserve it and its multiples due to my ugly deeds and neglect of the obligations owed to Allah-azwj the Exalted, upon me! Help me, O my Master-ajfj, may the Salawaat of Allah-azwj be upon you-ajfj, in times of longing, and forwards the request to Allah-azwj Mighty and Majestic regarding my matter before the occurrence of ruination and gloating of the enemies. The bounties have been extended upon me due to you-ajfj, and I ask Allah-azwj, Majestic is His-azwj Majesty, for a mighty help for me and a near victory in which is reaching of the hopes, and a goodly beginning and ending of the deeds, and safety from the fears, all of these, in every situation, whenever He-azwj, Majestic is His-azwj Praise, Desires to. He-azwj is a Doer and He-azwj Suffices me and is the best Protector in the beginning and the outcome! ’
Then ascend the river or the well and determine by it one of the doors (access representatives), either Usman Bin Saeed Al-Amry or his son Muhammad Bin Usman, or Al-Husayn Bin Rawh, or Ali Bin Muhammad Al-Samiry. They were doors (access men) of the Imam-ajfj, so you should call out to one of them and say, ‘O so and so, son of so and so! Greeting be upon you. I testify that your death was in the way of Allah-azwj and you are alive in the Presence of Allah-azwj being sustained, and I have addressed you during your lifetime which is for you in the Presence of Allah-azwj, Majestic and Mighty, and this is my note and my need to our Master-ajfj, so submit it to him-ajfj, for you are the trusted, the trustee! ’
Then throw it in the river, and it is as if you are imagining for yourself that you are submitting it to him-ajfj, for it shall reach, and the need would be fulfilled, if Allah-azwj the Exalted so Desires’’. [27]
