Hadith 49

(The book) ‘Iqbal Al-Amaal’ – We are reporting by our chains to Muhammad Bin Yaqoub Al-Kulayni, may Allah-azwj Mercy him, from the book ‘Al-Kafi’, and from the book of Ali Bin Abdul Wahid Al-Nahdy by their chains to our Master Ali-asws Bin Al-Husayn-asws, may the Salawaat of Allah-azwj be upon them both, that he-asws used to supplicate with it, and our Master Muhammad-asws Bin Ali Al-Baqir-asws was also supplicating with it every day of a month of Ramazan and in the reports there are additions and reduction, and this is the wording of one of these –
‘O Allah-azwj! This is a month of Ramazan and this is the month of fasting, and this is the month of standing (for Salat), and this is the month of patience, and this is the month of repentance, and this is the month of Forgiveness and the Mercy, and this is the month of liberation from the Hellfire, and the success with the Paradise, and this is a month in it is Laylat Al-Qadr which is better than a thousand months! O Allah-azwj! Send Salawaat upon Muhammad-saww and Progeny-asws of Muhammad-saww and Submit it to me and Receive is from me, and Assistance me upon me with best of Your-azwj Support, and Incline me in it to obey You-azwj, and Cause me to be free in it to worship You-azwj, and supplicating to You-azwj, and reciting Your-azwj Book, and Enlarge the Blessings for me in it, Protect the repentance for me in it, and Improve the well-being in it, and Make my body healthy in it, and Expand my sustenance for me in it, and Suffice me in it for what worries me, and Answer my supplication in it, and Make me to reach my hopes in it! Allah-azwj! Send Salawaat upon Muhammad-saww and Progeny-asws of Muhammad-saww, and during it Remove from me the drowsiness, and the laziness, and weariness, and the weakness, and the cruelty, and the heedlessness, and the delusion! O Allah-azwj! Send Salawaat upon Muhammad-saww and Progeny-asws of Muhammad-saww, and during it Keep aside from me the illnesses, and the sicknesses, and the worries, and the griefs, and the symptoms, and the diseases, and the misdeeds, and the sins, and Turn away from me in it the evil, and the immoralities, and the fatigue, and the afflictions, and the tiredness, and the suffering, You-azwj are Listener of the supplication! O Allah-azwj! Send Salawaat upon Muhammad-saww and Progeny-asws of Muhammad-saww, and Refuge me in it from the Pelted Satan-la, and his-la slanders and his-la defamations, and his-la puffings, and his-la insinuations, and his-la hindrances, and his-la violence, and his-la tricks, and his-la deceptions, and his-la false promises, and his-la delusions, and his-la temptations, and his-la cavalries, and his-la infantries, and his-la supporters, and his-la associates, and his-la followers, and his-la brothers, and his-la allies, and his-la adherents, and his-la friends, and entirety of his-la partners, and his-la plots! O Allah-azwj! Send Salawaat upon Muhammad-saww and his-saww Progeny-asws, and Grace me its complete fasts, and reaching the wishes in it, and its standings (for Salat) in it, and perfecting what Pleases You-azwj with me patience, and Eman, and conviction, and anticipation! Then, Accept that from me with the many multiple and the mighty Recompense, Ameen, Lord-azwj of the worlds! O
