Hadith 379

ammad Al Azdy, from Sahl Bin Usman, from Mansour Bin Muhammad Al Nasafy, from Abdullah BinAmro, from Al-Hassan Bin Musa, from Sa’daan, from Malik Bin Suleyman, from Ibn Jareeh, from Ata’a, from Ayesha (well-known fabricator) who said, ‘Rasool-Allah-saww was hungry, not able upon what he-saww eats. He-saww said to me: ‘Give me-saww my-saww robe. I said, ‘Where are you-saww intending (to go to)? ’ He-saww said: ‘To my-saww daughter-asws Fatima-asws, so I-saww can look at Al-Hassan-asws and Al-Husayn-asws, so that part of the hunger what is with me-saww, would go away’. He-saww went out until he-saww entered to see (Syeda) Fatima-asws. He-saww said: ‘O Fatima-asws! Where are my-saww two sons-asws? ’ She-asws said: ‘O Rasool-Allah-saww! They-asws went out crying due to hunger’. The Prophet-saww went out in searching for them-asws. He-saww saw Abu Al-Darda’a. He-saww said: ‘O Uweymir! Have you-saww seen my-saww two sons-asws? ’ He said, ‘Yes, O Rasool-Allah-saww! They-asws are sleeping in the shade of a garden of the clan of Jud’an’. The Prophet-saww went and hugged them-asws, and they-asws were crying, and he-saww was wiping the tears away from them-asws. Abu Al-Darda’a said to him-saww, ‘Leave me, I shall carry them-asws’. He-saww said: ‘O Abu Al Darda’a! Leave me-saww to wipe the tears away from them-asws. By the One-azwj Who Sent me-saww with the truth as a Prophet-saww! Even if one drop were to drop in the earth, the starvation would remain in my-saww community up to the Day of Qiyamah’. Then he-saww carried them-asws, and they-asws were crying and he-saww was crying. Jibraeel-as came and said: ‘The greetings be unto you-saww, O Muhammad-saww! Lord-azwj of the Might, Majestic is His-azwj Majesty, Conveys the Greetings to you-saww and Says: “What is this alarm! ” He-saww said: ‘O Jibraeel-as! I-saww am not crying out of alarm, but I-saww am crying from the humiliation of the world’. Jibraeel-as said: ‘Allah-azwj the Exalted Says: “Would it cheer you-saww if I-azwj to Transform (mount) Ohad into gold for you-saww for something what is with Me-azwj? ”’ He-saww said: ‘No’. He-as said: ‘Why not? ’ He-saww said: ‘Because Allah-azwj the Exalted does not Love the world, and had He-azwj Loved it, He-azwj would not have Made its perfection to be for the Kafir’. Jibraeel-as said: ‘O Muhammad-saww! Called for the overturned pot which is in a corner of the house’. He-saww called for it. When it was carried over, there was porridge in it, and a lot of meat. He-as said: ‘Eat, O Muhammad-saww and feed your-saww two sons-asws and your-asws family members’. So, they ate and were satiated. He (Salman-ra) said, ‘Then he-saww sent (some) to me-ra. They-asws ate and were satiated, and it was upon its (untouched) state. He (Salman-ra) said, ‘I-ra have not seen any pot of mightier Blessings than it’. So, it was raised from them-asws. The Prophet-saww said: ‘By the One-azwj Who Sent me-saww with the truth! Had you-ra been silent, it would have sufficed the poor of my-saww community up to the Day of Qiyamah’’. [204]
