(The book) ‘Al Mukhtasar’ of Al Husayn Bin Suleyman, copied from the book ‘Al Durr Al Muntaqa Fi Manaqib Ahl Al Tuqa’ – raising it to Saeed Bin Jubeyr, from Ibn Abbas who said, ‘One day Rasool-Allah-saww was seated when Al-Hassan-asws came. When he-saww saw him-asws, he-saww wept, then said: ‘To me-saww, O my-saww son-asws! ’ He-saww did not cease to draw him-asws closer until he-saww seated him-asws upon his-saww right thigh. Then Al-Husayn-asws came. When he-saww saw him-asws, he-saww wept, then said: ‘To me-saww, O my-saww son-asws! ’ He-saww did not cease to draw him-asws closer until he-saww seated him-asws upon his-asws left thigh. (Syeda) Fatima-asws came. When he-saww saw her-asws, he-saww wept, then said: ‘To me-saww, O daughter-asws! ’ He-saww did not cease to draw her-asws closer until he-saww seated her-asws in front of him-saww. Then Amir Al-Momineen Ali-asws Bin Abu Talib-asws came. When he-saww saw him-asws, he-saww wept, then said: ‘To me-saww, O my-saww brother-asws! ’ He-saww did not cease drawing him-asws closer until he-saww seated him-asws to his-asws right side. His-saww companions said to him-saww, ‘O Rasool-Allah-saww! You-saww did not see one of them-asws except you-saww cried’. He-saww said: ‘O Ibn Abbas! Even if the Angels of Proximity, and the Prophets-as, and the Messengers-as were to unite upon hating him-asws, and they will never do it, Allah-azwj would Punish them with the Fire’. I said, ‘O Rasool-Allah-saww! Does anyone hate him-asws? ’
He-saww said: ‘O Ibn Abbas! Yes. A people would be mentioning they are from my-saww community, Allah-azwj will not Make for them any share in. O Ibn Abbas! From a sign of their hatred for him-asws is preferring one who is below him-asws, over him-asws. By the One-azwj Who Sent me-saww with the truth as a Prophet-saww! Allah-azwj has not Created any Prophet-as more prestigious to Him-azwj than me-saww, and He-azwj has not Created any successor-asws more prestigious to Him-azwj than my-saww successor-asws Ali-asws’. Ibn Abbas said, ‘I did not cease to be for him-asws just as Rasool-Allah-saww had instructed me with and had advised me-saww with being cordial to him-asws, and it was the greatest of the deeds in his-saww presence’. Ibn Abbas said, ‘Then some time passed and the expiry presented to Rasool-Allah-saww, so I presented to him-saww. I said to him-saww, ‘May my father and my mother be sacrificed for you-saww, O Rasool-Allah-saww! Your-saww term has drawn nearer, so what do you-saww instruct me? ’
