وَ رُوِيَ أَيْضاً عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ وَهْبٍ قَالَ: بَعَثَنِي مِخْنَفُ بْنُ سُلَيْمٍ إِلَى عَلِيٍّ ع عِنْدَ تَوَجُّهِهِ إِلَى صِفِّينَ فَأَتَيْتُهُ بِكَرْبَلَاءَ فَوَجَدْتُهُ يُشِيرُ بِيَدِهِ وَ يَقُولُ هَاهُنَا هَاهُنَا فَقَالَ لَهُ رَجُلٌ وَ مَا ذَاكَ يَا أَمِيرَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ
فَقَالَ ثَقَلٌ لِآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ يَنْزِلُ هَاهُنَا فَوَيْلٌ لَهُمْ مِنْكُمْ وَ وَيْلٌ لَكُمْ مِنْهُمْ فَقَالَ لَهُ الرَّجُلُ مَا مَعْنَى هَذَا الْكَلَامُ يَا أَمِيرَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ قَالَ وَيْلٌ لَهُمْ مِنْكُمْ تَقْتُلُونَهُمْ وَ وَيْلٌ لَكُمْ مِنْهُمْ يُدْخِلُكُمُ اللَّهُ بِقَتْلِهِمْ إِلَى النَّارِ
قَالَ نَصْرٌ وَ قَدْ رُوِيَ هَذَا الْكَلَامُ عَلَى وَجْهٍ آخَرَ قَالَ فَوَيْلٌ لَكُمْ مِنْهُمْ وَ وَيْلٌ لَكُمْ عَلَيْهِمْ فَقَالَ الرَّجُلُ أَمَّا وَيْلٌ لَنَا مِنْهُمْ فَقَدْ عَرَفْنَاهُ فَوَيْلٌ لَنَا عَلَيْهِمْ مَا مَعْنَاهُ فَقَالَ تَرَوْنَهُمْ يُقْتَلُونَ وَ لَا تَسْتَطِيعُونَ نُصْرَتَهُمْ.
And it is reported by Saeed Bin Wahab who said, ‘Mikhnaf Bin Suleym sent me to Ali-asws during his-asws heading to Siffeen. I came to him-asws at Karbala and found him-asws indicating with his-asws hands and saying: ‘Over here! Over here! ’ A man said to him-asws, ‘And what is that, O Amir Al-Momineen-asws? ’
He-asws said: ‘It would be heavy for the Progeny-asws of Muhammad-saww, encamping over here. Woe would be for them from you all, and woe would be for you all from them! Allah-azwj would be Entering you all into the Fire due to you having killed them’. Nasr said, ‘And this speech has been reported upon another aspect. He-asws said: ‘Woe would be for you all from them, and woe would be for you all upon them’. The man said, ‘As for the woe to us from them, I have understood it, but woe for us upon them, what is its meaning? ’ He-asws said: ‘You will be seeing them being killed, and will not be able to help them’’. [56]
