Hadith 15

(The books) ‘Al Manaqib’ of Ibn Shehr Ashub, (and), ‘Fazaail’ of Al Sam’any – It is reported by Jabir, from Ibn Umar in a Hadeeth, ‘A man asked him (Ibn Umar), he said, ‘What is your word regarding Ali-asws and Usman? ’ He said, ‘As for Usman, it is as if Allah-azwj has Pardoned him, and you have disliked that He-azwj Pardons him. And as for Ali-asws, he-asws is a son-asws of an uncleas of Rasool-Allah-saww, and his-saww son-in-law, and this is his-asws house’ – and he gestured towards his-asws house – ‘Where you can see. Allah-azwj the Glorious Commanded His-azwj Prophet-saww to build his-saww Masjid. Ten houses were built in it, nine for His-saww Prophet-saww and his-saww wives, and its tenth, and it was in their middle, for Ali-asws and (Syeda) Fatima-asws. And that was during the beginning of the year of Emigration, and they said it was at the end of the lifetime of the Prophet-saww, and the first (view) is more correct and more well known, and it remained upon its existence. Ali-asws and his-asws children did not cease to be in his-asws house up to the days of Abdul Malik Bin Marwan. He knew of the Hadeeth, so he envied the people upon that and resented, and he ordered with the demolition of the house, and manifested that he wanted to make an expansion in the Masjid, and in it Al-Hassan son of Al-Hassan-asws. He said, ‘I will not get out nor will I allow its demolition’. So, he was struck with the whips and the people shouted, and he was expelled at that, and the house was demolished, and there was an addition in the Masjid’’. [59]
And it is reported by Isa Bin Abdullah, ‘The house of (Syeda) Fatima-asws was around the soil of the Prophet-saww, and between the two was a fountain’’. [60]
And in (the book) ‘Minhaj’ of Al Karajaky –
‘It is what is between the house in which is Rasool-Allah-saww and the Al-Muhazy door to the alley of Al-Baqie. A door for him-asws was kept open and a barrier was placed upon the doors of rest of the companions. One who had uprooted the door (of Khyber), how could the door be blocked upon him-asws. He-asws had uprooted the door of Kufr from the surrounding, and the doors of knowledge were opened for him-asws’’. [61]
