ل، الخصال أَبِي عَنْ سَعْدٍ عَنِ ابْنِ يَزِيدَ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْكَرْخِيِّ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ عَنْ أَبِي حَمْزَةَ الثُّمَالِيِّ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَطِيَّةَ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَرْقَمَ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ص لِعَلِيٍّ أُعْطِيتُ فِيكَ تِسْعَ خِصَالٍ ثَلَاثٌ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَ ثَلَاثٌ فِي الْآخِرَةِ وَ اثْنَتَانِ لَكَ وَ وَاحِدَةٌ أَخَافُهَا عَلَيْكَ
وَ أَمَّا الثَّلَاثُ الَّتِي فِي الدُّنْيَا فَإِنَّكَ وَصِيِّي وَ خَلِيفَتِي فِي أَهْلِي وَ قَاضِي دَيْنِي وَ أَمَّا الثَّلَاثُ الَّتِي فِي الْآخِرَةِ فَإِنِّي أُعْطَى لِوَاءَ الْحَمْدِ فَأَجْعَلُهُ فِي يَدِكَ وَ آدَمُ وَ ذُرِّيَّتُهُ تَحْتَ لِوَائِي وَ تُعِينُنِي عَلَى مَفَاتِيحِ الْجَنَّةِ وَ أُحَكِّمُكَ فِي شَفَاعَتِي لِمَنْ أَحْبَبْتَ
وَ أَمَّا اللَّتَانِ لَكَ فَإِنَّكَ لَمْ تَرْجِعْ بَعْدِي كَافِراً وَ لَا ضَالًّا وَ أَمَّا الَّتِي أَخَافُهَا عَلَيْكَ فَغَدْرَةُ قُرَيْشٍ بِكَ بَعْدِي يَا عَلِيُ.
(The book) ‘Al Khisaal’ – My father, from Sa’ad, from Ibn Yazeed, from Ibn Abu Umeyr, from Ibrahim Al Karkhy, from Muhammad Bin Muslim, from Abu Hamza Al Sumali, from Al hassan Bin Atiyya, from Zayd Bin Arqam who said, ‘Rasool-Allah-saww said to Ali-asws: ‘I-saww have been Given nine characteristics regarding you-asws – three are in the world, and three in the Hereafter, and two are for you and one I-saww fear upon you-asws. And as for the three which are in the world – you-asws are my-saww successor-asws, and my-saww caliph, and payer of my-saww debts. And as for the three which are in the Hereafter – I-saww will be Given the flag of Praise, and I-saww will make it to be in your-asws hand, and Adam-as and his-as offspring would be under my-saww flag, and you-asws will assist me-saww upon the keys of Paradise, and I-saww shall make you-asws judge regarding my-saww intercession for the ones I-saww love. And as for the two (which are) for you-asws – you-asws will not return to be a Kafir after me-saww, nor stray. And as for that which I-saww fear upon you-asws – treachery of Quraysh with you-asws after me-saww, O Ali-asws! ’’[81]
