Hadith 48

(The book) ‘Uyoon Akhbar Al-Reza-asws’ – Al Muzaffar Al Alawy, from Ibn Al Ayyashi, from his father, from Yusuf Bin Al Sukhti, from Ali Bin Al Qasim Al Ureyzi Al-Husayni, from Safwan Bin Yahya, from Abdul Rahman Bin Al Hajjaj, ‘From Is’haq and Ali, two sons of Ja’far-asws Bin Muhammad-asws. They entered to see Abdul Rahman Bin Aslam at Makkah during the year in which Musa-asws Bin Ja’far-asws had been seized, and with them was a letter of Abu Al-Hassan-asws in his-asws handwriting. In it were needs he-asws had instructed with. They said, ‘He-asws has instructed with these needs from this aspect, so if something were to happen from his-asws matter, then to hand it over to his-asws son-asws Ali-asws, for he-asws is his-asws replacement, and the one to be standing with his-asws command’. And this happened one day after the expedition, around fifty days after the seizure of Abu Al-Hassan-asws, and it was testified by Is’haq and Ali, two sons of Abu Abdullah-asws, Al-Husayn Bin Ahmad Al-Minqary, and Ismail Bin Umar, and Hassan Bin Muawiya, and Al-Husayn Bin Muhammad, one who sealed upon their witnessing that Abu Al-Hassan Ali-asws Bin Musa-asws is the successor-asws of his-asws father-asws and his-asws replacement. The two testified with this testimony, and two said, ‘His-asws replacement and his-asws representative’. Their testimonies were accepted in the presence of Hafs Bin Giyas the judge’’. [51]
