الْمُتَهَجِّدُ، وَ الْجِمَالُ، وَ الْإِخْتِيَارُ، رُوِيَ عَنِ الصَّادِقِ ع أَنَّهُ صَامَ يَوْمَ الْأَرْبِعَاءِ وَ الْخَمِيسِ وَ الْجُمُعَةِ وَ صَلَّى لَيْلَةَ السَّبْتِ مَا شَاءَ ثُمَّ قَالَ يَا رَبِّ يَا رَبِّ ثَلَاثَمِائَةِ مَرَّةٍ
ثُمَّ قَالَ يَا رَبِّ إِنَّهُ لَيْسَ يَرُدُّ غَضَبَكَ إِلَّا حِلْمُكَ وَ لَا يُنْجِي مِنْ عِقَابِكَ إِلَّا عَفْوُكَ وَ لَا يُخَلِّصُ مِنْكَ إِلَّا رَحْمَتُكَ وَ التَّضَرُّعُ إِلَيْكَ
فَهَبْ لِي يَا إِلَهِي فَرَجاً بِالْقُدْرَةِ الَّتِي تُحْيِي بِهَا أَمْوَاتَ الْعِبَادِ وَ بِهَا تَنْشُرُ مَيْتَ الْبِلَادِ وَ لَا تُهْلِكْنِي وَ عَرِّفْنِي يَا رَبِّ إِجَابَتَكَ لِي وَ أَذِقْنِي طَعْمَ الْعَافِيَةِ إِلَى مُنْتَهَى أَجَلِي
يَا رَبِّ ارْفَعْنِي وَ لَا تَضَعْنِي وَ احْفَظْنِي وَ انْصُرْنِي وَ لَا تَخْذُلْنِي يَا رَبِّ إِنْ رَفَعْتَنِي فَمَنْ ذَا الَّذِي يَضَعُنِي وَ إِنْ وَضَعْتَنِي فَمَنْ ذَا الَّذِي يَرْفَعُنِي
وَ قَدْ عَلِمْتُ يَا إِلَهِي أَنْ لَيْسَ فِي حُكْمِكَ ظُلْمٌ وَ لَا فِي عُقُوبَتِكَ عَجَلَةٌ وَ إِنَّمَا يَعْجَلُ مَنْ يَخَافُ الْفَوْتَ وَ إِنَّمَا يَحْتَاجُ إِلَى الظُّلْمِ الضَّعِيفُ وَ قَدْ تَعَالَيْتَ عَنْ ذَلِكَ سَيِّدِي عُلُوّاً كَبِيراً
فَلَا تَجْعَلْنِي لِلْبَلَاءِ غَرَضاً وَ لَا لِنَقِمَتِكَ نَصَباً وَ مَهِّلْنِي وَ نَفْسِي وَ أَقِلْنِي عَثْرَتِي وَ لَا تُتْبِعْنِي بِبَلَاءٍ عَلَى أَثَرِ بَلَاءٍ فَقَدْ تَرَى ضَعْفِي وَ قِلَّةَ حِيلَتِي وَ تَمَرُّغِي وَ تَضَرُّعِي إِلَيْكَ
يَا رَبِّ أَعُوذُ بِكَ فِي هَذِهِ اللَّيْلَةِ وَ هَذَا الْيَوْمِ مِنْ كُلِّ سُوءٍ فَأَعِذْنِي وَ أَسْتَجِيرُ بِكَ فَأَجِرْنِي وَ أَسْتَتِرُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّ خَلْقِكَ فَاسْتُرْنِي وَ أَسْتَغْفِرُكَ مِنْ ذُنُوبِي فَاغْفِرْ لِي فَإِنَّهُ لَا يَغْفِرُ الْعَظِيمَ إِلَّا الْعَظِيمُ وَ أَنْتَ الْعَظِيمُ الْعَظِيمُ الْعَظِيمُ أَعْظَمُ مِنْ كُلِّ عَظِيمٍ-. وَ مَنْ عَمِلَ لَيْلَةَ السَّبْتِ- لِمَنْ يَدْهَمُهُ خَوْفٌ مِنْ سُلْطَانٍ أَوْ مِنْ غَيْرِهِ رُوِيَ عَنِ الصَّادِقِ ع أَنَّهُ قَالَ- مَنْ دَهِمَهُ أَمْرٌ مِنْ سُلْطَانٍ أَوْ مِنْ عَدُوٍّ حَاسِدٍ فَلْيَصُمْ يَوْمَ الْأَرْبِعَاءِ وَ الْخَمِيسِ وَ الْجُمُعَةِ وَ لِيَدْعُ عَشِيَّةَ الْجُمُعَةِ لَيْلَةَ السَّبْتِ وَ لْيَقُلْ فِي دُعَائِهِ
أَيْ رَبَّاهْ أَيْ سَيِّدَاهْ أَيْ سَيِّدَاهْ أَيْ أَمَلَاهْ أَيْ رَجَايَاهْ أَيْ عِمَادَاهْ أَيْ كَهْفَاهْ أَيْ حِصْنَاهْ أَيْ حِرْزَاهْ أَيْ فَخْرَاهْ بِكَ آمَنْتُ وَ لَكَ أَسْلَمْتُ وَ عَلَيْكَ تَوَكَّلْتُ وَ بَابَكَ قَرَعْتُ وَ بِفِنَائِكَ نَزَلْتُ وَ بِحَبْلِكَ اعْتَصَمْتُ وَ بِكَ اسْتَغَثْتُ وَ بِكَ أَعُوذُ وَ بِكَ أَلُوذُ وَ عَلَيْكَ أَتَوَكَّلُ وَ إِلَيْكَ أَلْجَأُ وَ أَعْتَصِمُ وَ بِكَ أَسْتَجِيرُ فِي جَمِيعِ أُمُورِي وَ أَنْتَ غِيَاثِي وَ عِمَادِي وَ أَنْتَ عِصْمَتِي وَ رَجَائِي وَ أَنْتَ اللَّهُ رَبِّي

(The book) ‘Al Mutahajjid’, and ‘Al Jamaal’, and ‘Al Ikhtiyar’ –
‘It is reported from Al-Sadiq-asws, he-asws fasted on the day of Wednesday, and the Thursday, and the Friday, and he-asws prayed on the night of Saturday what he-asws so desired to, then he‑asws said: ‘O Lord-azwj! O Lord-azwj! ’, three hundred times. Then he-asws said: ‘O Lord-azwj! Surely nothing returns Your-azwj Wrath except Your-azwj Forbearance, nor rescue from Your-azwj Punishment except Your-azwj Pardon, nor Purify from You-azwj except Your-azwj Mercy and the beseeching to You-azwj! O my God-azwj! Grant relief to me by the Power which You-azwj Revive the deceased servants, and Your-azwj Grow the dead lands, and do not Destroy me, and Grant to me, O Kind-azwj, Your‑azwj Response to me, and Make me taste the provision of well-being to the end of my term! O Lord-azwj! Raise me and do not Drop me, and Protect me and Help me and do not Abandon me. O Lord-azwj! If You-azwj Raise me then who is the one who can drop me, and if You-azwj Drop me then who is the one who can raise me? And I know, O my God-azwj, there isn’t any injustice in Your-azwj Judgment, nor any hastiness in Your-azwj Punishment, and rather he is hasty, the one who fears missing out, and rather the weak is need to the injustice, and You-azwj are Exalted from that, my Master, Exalted, Great! Do not Make me a target for the affliction nor set up for Your-azwj Vengeance, and Respite me, and Reduce my stumbles, and do not Pursue me with the affliction upon the tracks of an affliction, for You-azwj can see my weakness and scarcity of my means, and my waddling and my beseeching to me! O Lord-azwj! I seek Refuge with You-azwj in this night and this day from every evil, so Refuge me, and I seek shelter with You-azwj so Shelter me, and I seek concealment with You-azwj from evil of Your-azwj creatures, so Conceal me, and I seek Your-azwj Forgiveness from my sins, so Forgive for me for no one Forgives the mighty (sins) except the Might, and You-azwj are the Mighty, the Mighty, the Mighty, the Mightier than every mighty one! ’’[105]
And from acts of worship on the night of Saturday for the one whom fear of the ruler is attacking him, or from others – it is reported from Al-Sadiq-asws having said: ‘One who is attached by a matter of a ruler or an envying enemy, let him fast on the day of Wednesday, and the Thursday, and the Friday, and let him supplicating on the night of Friday and night of Saturday, and let him say in his supplication –
‘O my Lord-azwj, O my Master, O my Master, O my hope, O my aspiration, O my support, O my refuge, O my fortress, O my protector, O my pride! I believe in You-azwj, and to You-azwj I submit. I place my trust in You-azwj, and at Your-azwj door I knock. I descend in Your-azwj courtyard, I hold onto Your-azwj rope, I seek refuge in You-azwj, and with You-azwj I seek protection. I seek refuge in You-azwj, I seek refuge in You, I rely on You-azwj, and unto You-azwj, I turn. I cling to You-azwj, and with You I seek shelter in all my affairs. You-azwj are my support, my pillar, You-azwj are my protection, my hope, and You-azwj are Allah-azwj, my Lord-azwj! There is no god except You-azwj! Glory be to You-azwj and with Yo
