(The book) ‘Al Iqbal’ – He said, ‘We are reporting by our chains to Al Husayn Bin Saeed, from Al Nazr Bin Suweyd, from Abdullah Bin Sinan, ‘From Abu Abdullah-asws having said: ‘The bathing on the day of (Eid) Al-Fitr is Sunnah’’. [2]
Mention of what is said during the bathing – It is reported by Muhammad Bin Abu Qurrah, by his chain to Abu Anbasa, ‘From Abu Abdullah-asws having said: ‘The Eid Salat on the day of Al-Fitr – You should bathe in a river. If there does not happen to be a river then let it be yourself drawing the water with humbleness, and let your washing be beneath the shade or beneath a wall, and you should conceal your efforts. When you think of that, then say, ‘O Allah-azwj! Believing in You-azwj and ratifying Your-azwj Book, and following Sunnah of Your-azwj Prophet-saww Muhammad-saww! ’ Then Name (Bismillah) and wash. When you are free from the washing, then say, ‘O Allah-azwj! Make it an atonement for my sins and a purification of my religion! O Allah-azwj! Remove the filth from me! ’’[3]
Then supplicate during the preparation for the going out to the Eid Salat. Say what we are reporting by our chain to Haroun Bin Musa Al-Tal’akbury, may Allah-azwj Sanctify his soul, to Abu Hamza Al-Sumaly, from Abu Ja’far-asws having said: ‘Supplicate during the Friday and the Eid(s) when you prepare for the going out: –
‘O Allah-azwj! There is one who prepares, or makes arrangements, or gets ready, or equips for going to a created being hoping for his rewards, and his awards, and his gifts, so to You-azwj, O my Master, would be my preparation, and my readiness, and my equipping hoping for You‑azwj Rewards, and Your-azwj Awards, and Your-azwj Gifts! O Allah-azwj! Send Salawaat upon Muhammad-saww, Y
