Hadith 186

(The book) ‘Misbah Ibn Al Baqi’ – It is reported, ‘From Amir Al-Momineen-asws: ‘Whatever Allah-azwj Desires happens! O Allah-azwj! I seek Your‑azwj Choice, and Choice for the one who has delegated his affairs to You-azwj, and submitted himself to You-azwj, and submitted his affairs to You-azwj, and vacated his face to You‑azwj, and relies upon You-azwj regarding what befalls with him! O Allah-azwj! Choose for me and do not Choose against me, and Be for me and do not Be against me, and Help me and do not Help against me, and Assist me and do not Assist against me, and Enable me and do not Enable (others) from me, and Guide me to the good and do not Let me stray, and Make be to be satisfied with Your-azwj Decree, and Bless for me in Your-azwj Determination! Surely You Do whatever You-azwj Desire to, and You-azwj Judge whatever You‑azwj Want, and You-azwj are Able upon all things! O Allah-azwj! If in this matter is the goodness regarding my religion and my world and outcome of my affairs, Facilitate it for me, and if it was other than that, Turn it away from me, O most Merciful of the merciful ones! You-azwj are Able upon all things, and Allah-azwj is Sufficient for us and is the best Protector! ’’[185]
