Hadith 5

(The book) ‘Mjaalis’ of the sheykh – from Al Husayn Bin Ubeydullah, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad Bin Yahya, from his father, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad Bin Isa, from Al Husayn Bin Saeed, from Al Qasim Bin Muhammad, from Ali who said, ‘I was in the presence of Abu Abdullah-asws. Abu Baseer said to him-asws, ‘What is the night in which is hoped what is hoped for? ’
He-asws said: ‘During the 21st or 23rd! ’
He said, ‘Supposing I am not strong enough upon both of these? ’
He-asws said: ‘How easy are two nights regarding what you seek! ’
He (the narrator) said, ‘I said, ‘Sometimes we see the crescent among us and there comes someone who informs us opposite of that in another land! ’
He-asws said: ‘How easy are four nights you can be seeking in! ’
I said, ‘May I be sacrificed for you-asws! The night of the 23 is the night of ‘Al-Juhanny’? ’
He-asws said: ‘That is what it is called’. I said, ‘Suleyman Bin Khalid is reporting regarding the 19th, the delegations of Hajj are Written during it! ’
He-asws said: ‘O Abu Muhammad-asws! The delegations of Hajj are Written during Laylat Al-Qadr, and (also) the deaths, and the afflictions, and the sustenance, and what will be happening up to its similar in the following year, therefore seek it in one of the three, and pray Salat during each one of these, one hundred units, and revive these if you are capable, up to the light (dawn), and bath in these’. He (the narrator) said, ‘I said, ‘Supposing I am not able upon that while I am standing? ’
He-asws said: ‘Then pray while you are seated! ’
I said, ‘Supposing I am not capable? ’
He-asws said: ‘Then (pray lying down) upon your bed! ’
I said, ‘Supposing I am not capable? ’
He-asws said: ‘It is not upon you to close your eyes with anything from the sleep, for doors of the sky are open during Ramazan, and the Satans-la are bound, and deeds of the Momineen are Accepted. Best
