Hadith 53

(The book) ‘Dawaat Al Rawandy’ – from Ka’ab, ‘Allah-azwj Chose from the months, the month of Ramazan, so a month of Ramazan atones what is between it and between (the next) month of Ramazan, and the Hajj is similar to that. The servant dies while he is between two good deeds – a good deed of awaiting it, and a good deed of having fulfilled it; and there is none from the days more Beloved to Allah-azwj than 10th of Zilhajj, nor is there any night superior than it’’. [52]
I say, ‘Its complete is in the chapter, ‘Merits of the night of Friday’’. And Abu Ja’far-asws said: ‘Three (matters) are with their Rewards in the Hereafter (as well) – the Hajj negates the poverty, and the charity repels the afflictions, and the righteous deed increases in the lifespan’’. [53]
(The book) ‘Nahj Al-Balagah’ – Amir Al-Momineen-asws said: ‘The Hajj is a Jihad of every weak one’’. [54]
And he-asws said: ‘And obligated upon you all is Hajj of the Sacred House which has been Made as a Qiblah (direction) for the people, arriving to it as an arrival of the cattle (to water), and they long for it as the pigeons long for their nests. The Glorious has Made it as a symbol for their humility to His-azwj Magnificence and their submission to His-azwj Might, and He-azwj Chose from His-azwj creatures listeners who responded His-azwj Call to it, and they ratified His-azwj Word, and they pause at the pausing of His-azwj Prophets-saww, and they resemble with His-azwj Angels circling with His-azwj Throne. They seek to secure profits in the marketplace of His worship and hasten to receive His-azwj Promised Forgiveness! The Glorious and Exalted has Made it a flag for and a sanctuary for the refugees. He‑azwj has Necessitated its Hajj, and Obligated its right, and Written upon you its visitation. The Glorious Said: And for the Sake of Allah, Hajj of the House is incumbent upon the people for the one has the capacity for a way to it; and the one commits Kufr, then surely Allah is needless from the worlds [3: 97]! ’’[55]
And he-asws said in his-asws bequest at his-asws expiry: ‘Allah-azwj! Allah-azwj regarding the House of your Lord-azwj! Do not leave it for as long as you remain, for the one who neglects it will not be respited! ’’[56]
(The book) ‘Uddat Al Daie’ –
‘Al-Baqir-asws said: ‘The Pilgrims of the Hajj and the Umrah are the delegates (visitors) of Allah‑azwj! If they request Him-azwj He-azwj Grants them, and if they supplicate He-azwj Answers them, and if they seek intercession He-azwj Intercedes for them, and if they are silent He-azwj Initiates them, and they are compensated a million Dirhams for a Dirham (spent)! ’’[57]
