Jabra`ǐl Shows the Land on Which Ĥusain Will Be Killed to the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ — Hadith 2

2. My father narrated to me from Sa’d ibn ‘Abdillāh, from Muḥammad ibn ‘Abdil Ḥamīd Al-‘Aťťār, from Abī Jamīlah Mufaďďal ibn Sāliḥ, from Abī Usāmah Zayd Al-Shaḥḥām, who said: Abū ‘Abdillāh (Imam Sādiq (a. s. )) said: Jabra`īl announced the news of the killing of Ḥusain (a. s. ) to the Messenger of Allāh (s. a. a. w. ) in the house of Um Salamah. While Jabra`īl was with the Messenger of Allāh (s. a. a. w. ), Ḥusain (a. s. ) entered. Jabra`īl said to the Prophet (s. a. a. w. ), “Verily your nation will kill him. ” The Messenger of Allāh (s. a. a. w. ) said, “Show me the dust on which his blood will be shed. ” Jabra`īl took a handful of that dust and it was a red-coloured dust.
