Blessing upon the Attesters to the Messengers

(4) وَ كَانَ مِنْ دُعَائِهِ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ فِي الصَّلَاةِ عَلَى أَتْبَاعِ الرُّسُلِ وَ مُصَدِّقِيهِمْ 1. اللَّهُمَّ وَ أَتْبَاعُ الرُّسُلِ وَ مُصَدِّقُوهُمْ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْأَرْضِ بِالْغَيْبِ عِنْدَ مُعَارَضَةِ الْمُعَانِدِينَ لَهُمْ بِالتَّكْذِيبِ وَ الِاشْتِيَاقِ إِلَى الْمُرْسَلِينَ بِحَقَائِقِ الْإِيمَانِ 2. فِي كُلِّ دَهْرٍ وَ زَمَانٍ أَرْسَلْتَ فِيهِ رَسُولًا وَ أَقَمْتَ لِأَهْلِهِ دَلِيلًا مِنْ لَدُنْ آدَمَ إِلَى مُحَمَّدٍ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ آلِهِ مِنْ أَئِمَّةِ الْهُدَى ، وَ قَادَةِ أَهْلِ التُّقَى ، عَلَى جَمِيعِهِمُ السَّلَامُ ، فَاذْكُرْهُمْ مِنْكَ بِمَغْفِرَةٍ وَ رِضْوَانٍ. 3. اللَّهُمَّ وَ أَصْحَابُ مُحَمَّدٍ خَاصَّةً الَّذِينَ أَحْسَنُوا الصَّحَابَةَ وَ الَّذِينَ أَبْلَوُا الْبَلَاءَ الْحَسَنَ فِي نَصْرِهِ ، وَ اسْتَجَابُوا لَهُ حَيْثُ أَسْمَعَهُمْ حُجَّةَ رِسَالَاتِهِ. 4. وَ فَارَقُوا الْأَزْوَاجَ وَ الْأَوْلَادَ فِي إِظْهَارِ كَلِمَتِهِ ، وَ قَاتَلُوا الْآبَاءَ وَ الْأَبْنَاءَ فِي تَثْبِيتِ نُبُوَّتِهِ ، وَ انْتَصَرُوا بِهِ. 5. وَ مَنْ كَانُوا مُنْطَوِينَ عَلَى مَحَبَّتِهِ يَرْجُونَ تِجَارَةً لَنْ تَبُورَ فِي مَوَدَّتِهِ. 6. وَ الَّذِينَ هَجَرَتْهُمْ الْعَشَائِرُ إِذْ تَعَلَّقُوا بِعُرْوَتِهِ ، وَ انْتَفَتْ مِنْهُمُ الْقَرَابَاتُ إِذْ سَكَنُوا فِي ظِلِّ قَرَابَتِهِ. 7. فَلَا تَنْسَ لَهُمُ اللَّهُمَّ مَا تَرَكُوا لَكَ وَ فِيكَ ، وَ أَرْضِهِمْ مِنْ رِضْوَانِكَ ، وَ بِمَا حَاشُوا الْخَلْقَ عَلَيْكَ ، وَ كَانُوا مَعَ رَسُولِكَ دُعَاةً لَكَ إِلَيْكَ. 8. وَ اشْكُرْهُمْ عَلَى هَجْرِهِمْ فِيكَ دِيَارَ قَوْمِهِمْ ، وَ خُرُوجِهِمْ مِنْ سَعَةِ الْمَعَاشِ إِلَى ضِيقِهِ ، وَ مَنْ كَثَّرْتَ فِي إِعْزَازِ دِينِكَ مِنْ مَظْلُومِهِمْ. 9. اللَّهُمَّ وَ أَوْصِلْ إِلَى التَّابِعِينَ لَهُمْ بِإِحْسَ
His Supplication in Calling down Blessings upon the Followers of, and Attesters to, the Messengers 1- O God, as for the followers of the messengersand those of the people of the earthwho attested to them unseen(while the obstinate resisted them through crying lies) -they yearned for the emissaries through the realities of faith, 2- in every era and time in which Thou didst send a messengerand set up for the people a directorfrom the period of Adam down to Muhammad(God bless him and his Household)from among the imams of guidanceand the leaders of the godfearing (upon them all be peace) -remember them with forgiveness and good pleasure! 3- O God, and as for the Companions of Muhammad specifically, those who did well in companionship, who stood the good test in helping him, responded to him when he made them hear his messages' argument, 4-separated from mates and childrenin manifesting his word, fought against fathers and sons in strengthening his prophecy, and through him gained victory; 5- those who were wrapped in affection for him, hoping for a commercethat comes not to naught1in love for him; 6- those who were left by their clanswhen they clung to his handholdand denied by their kinsfolkwhen they rested in the shadow of his kinship; 7- forget not, O God, what they abandoned for Thee and in Thee, and make them pleased with Thy good pleasurefor the sake of the creatures they drove to Theewhile they were with Thy Messenger, summoners to Thee for Thee. 8- Show gratitude to them for leaving the abodes of their people for Thy sakeand going out from a plentiful livelihood to a narrow one, and [show gratitude to] those of them who became objects of wrongdoing and whom Thou multiplied in exalting Thy religion. 9- O God, and give to those who have done well in
