Hadith 53

lah, from Al Qasim Bin Muhammad, from Al Kahily who said, ‘I heard Abu Abdullah-asws mentioning the Hajj. He-asws said: ‘Rasool-Allah-saww said: ‘It is one of the two Jihad(s). It is a Jihad of the weak ones, and we are the weak ones. But, there isn’t anything superior to the Hajj except the Salat during the Hajj, because over here there is a Salat and during the Salat there is no Hajj! Do not leave the Hajj while you are able upon it! Don’t you know that during it your head is dishevelled, and your skin becomes coarse during it, and during it you are refrained from looking at the women? And as for us over here, and we are nearby and there is water (river) for us to access, we (still) cannot reach the Hajj until it is hard upon us, so how about you in the remote cities? And there is none from a king nor a commoner arriving to Hajj except with hardship regarding a change of food and drink, or wind, or sun (weather), he is not capable of repelling it, and that is the Word of Mighty and Majestic: And they carry your loads to cities you could not reach except with difficulties of the self. Surely your Lord is Kind, Merciful [16: 7]! ’’[70]
(The book) ‘Ilal Al Sharaie’ – Majaylawiya, from his uncle, from Muhammad Bin Ali, from Al Bazanty, from Abu Baseer who said, ‘I heard Abu Abdullah-asws saying: ‘As for the people, if they were to neglect Hajj of this House (Kabah), the Punishment would descend befall them and they would not be respited! ’’[71]
(The book) ‘Sawaab Al Amaal’ – My father, from Ali, from his father, from Al Qaddah, ‘From Al-Sadiq-asws, from his-asws father-asws having said: ‘It was in a bequest of Amir Al-Momineen-asws: ‘Do not neglect Hajj of the House of your Lord-azwj for you will be destroyed! ’
And he-asws said: ‘One who neglects the Hajj for a (particular) need from needs of the world, it will not be fulfilled until he looks at the shaven ones (of their heads)’’. [72]
(The book) ‘Al-Mahasin’, in a Hadeeth by Ibn Al-Qaddah, from Abu Abdullah-asws – similar to it’’. [73]
(The book) ‘Sawaab Al Amaal’ – Majaylawiya, from his uncle, from Al Kufi, from Musa Bin Sa’dan, from Al Husayn Bin Abu Al A’ala, from Zareeh, ‘From Abu Abdullah-asws, he (the narrator) said, ‘I heard him-asws saying: ‘One who dies and did not perform Hajj, the Hajj of and he was not prevented from that by a need he was prejudiced by, or a sickness as a reason he could not endure the Hajj, or a ruler preventing him, so let him die as a Jew if he likes, and if he likes, as a Christian’’. [74]
