كَآبَةُ لَائِحَةٌ فِي وَجْهَيْهِمَا، فَلَمَّا رَآهُمَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ آلِهِ تَبَسَّمَ، وَ قَالَ: فِي الْحَقِّ مَغْضَبَةٌ؟! . فَلَمَّا تُوُفِّيَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ آلِهِ وَ رَجَعَ بَنُو تَمِيمٍ إِلَى الْمَدِينَةِ وَ مَعَهُمْ مَالِكُ بْنُ نُوَيْرَةَ، فَخَرَجَ لِيَنْظُرَ مَنْ قَامَ مَقَامَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ آلِهِ، فَدَخَلَ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ- وَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ يَخْطُبُ النَّاسَ- فَنَظَرَ إِلَيْهِ وَ قَالُوا: أَخُو تَيْمٍ؟. قَالُوا: نَعَمْ. قَالَ: مَا فَعَلَ وَصِيُّ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ آلِهِ الَّذِي أَمَرَنِي بِمُوَالاتِهِ؟. قَالُوا: يَا أَعْرَابِيُّ! الْأَمْرُ يَحْدُثُ بَعْدَ الْأَمْرِ الْآخَرِ. قَالَ: تَاللَّهِ مَا حَدَثَ شَيْءٌ وَ إِنَّكُمْ لَخُنْتُمُ اللَّهَ وَ رَسُولَهُ،
ثُمَّ تَقَدَّمَ إِلَى أَبِي بَكْرٍ وَ قَالَ لَهُ: مَنْ أَرْقَاكَ هَذَا الْمِنْبَرَ وَ وَصِيُّ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ آلِهِ جَالِسٌ؟! . فَقَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ: أَخْرِجُوا الْأَعْرَابِيَّ الْبَوَّالَ عَلَى عَقِبَيْهِ مِنْ مَسْجِدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ آلِهِ! . فَقَامَ إِلَيْهِ قُنْفُذُ بْنُ عُمَيْرٍ وَ خَالِدُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ فَلَمْ يَزَالا يكذان [يَلْكُزَانِ] عُنُقَهُ حَتَّى أَخْرَجَاهُ، فَرَكِبَ رَاحِلَتَهُ وَ أَنْشَأَ يَقُولُ شِعْراً: أَطَعْنَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ مَا كَانَ بَيْنَنَافَيَا قَوْمُ مَا شَأْنِي وَ شَأْنُ أَبِي بَكْرٍإِذَا مَاتَ بَكْرٌ قَامَ عَمْرٌو أَمَامَهُفَتِلْكَ- وَ بَيْتِ اللَّهِ- قَاصِمَةُ الظُّهْرِيُذَبُ وَ يَغْشَاهُ الْعِشَارُ كَأَنَّمَايُجَاهِدُ جَمّاً أَوْ يَقُومُ عَلَى قَبْرٍفَلَوْ طَافَ فِينَا مِنْ قُرَيْشٍ عِصَابَةٌأَقَمْنَا وَ لَوْ كَانَ الْقِيَامُ عَلَى جَمْرٍ
قَالَ: فَلَمَّا اسْتَتَمَّ الْأَمْرُ لِأَبِي بَكْرٍ وَجَّهَ خَالِدَ بْنَ الْوَلِيدِ وَ قَالَ لَهُ: قَدْ عَلِمْتَ مَا قَالَ عَلَى رُءُوسِ الْأَشْهَادِ، لَسْتُ آمَنُ أَنْ يَفْتُقَ عَلَيْنَا فَتْقاً لَا يَلْتَامُ، فَاقْتُلْهُ،
فَحِينَ أَتَاهُ خَالِدٌ رَكِبَ جَوَادَهُ وَ كَانَ فَارِساً يُعَدُّ بِأَلْفِ فَارِسٍ، فَخَافَ خَالِدٌ مِنْهُ فَآمَنَهُ وَ أَعْطَاهُ الْمَوَاثِيقَ ثُمَّ غَدَرَ بِهِ بَعْدَ أَنْ أَلْقَى سِلَاحَهُ فَقَتَلَهُ، وَ عَرَسَ بِامْرَأَتِهِ فِي لَيْلَتِهِ وَ جَعَلَ رَأْسَهُ فِي قِدْرٍ فِيهَا لَحْمُ جَزُورٍ لِوَلِيمَةِ عُرْسِهِ لِامْرَأَتِهِ يَنْزُو عَلَيْهَا نَزْوَ الْحِمَارِ. . وَ الْحَدِيثُ طَوِيلٌ.
dise, so seek Forgiveness for us’. He said, ‘May Allah-azwj not Forgive you both. You are both companions of Rasool-Allah-saww, owner of the intercession, and you are asking me to seek Forgiveness for you? ! ’
They returned and there was an appearance of depression in both their faces. When Rasool-Allah-saww saw them, he-saww smile and said: ‘The exasperation is regarding the truth? ! ’
When Rasool-Allah-saww passed away and the clan of Tameem returned to Al-Medina, and with them was malik Bin Nuweyra, he came out to look at the one who was standing in place of Rasool-Allah-azwj. He entered on the day of Friday – and Abu Bakr was upon the pulpit addressing the people. He looked at him and they (people) said, ‘Brother of Tameem? ’ They said, ‘Yes’. He said, ‘So what happened to the successor-asws of Rasool-Allah-saww, the one-asws he-saww had instructed me with his-asws Wilayah? ’ They said, ‘O Bedouin! The matter has occurred newly after the other’. He said, ‘By Allah-azwj! Nothing new has occurred, and you all are betraying Allah-azwj and His-azwj Rasool-saww! ’
Then he advanced to Abu Bakr and said to him, ‘Who gave you this pulpit and the successor-asws of Rasool-Allah-saww is seated? ’ Abu Bakr said, ‘Expel the frequently urinating Bedouin upon his heels, from the Masjid of Rasool-Allah-saww! ’
Qunfuz Bin Umeyr and Khalid Bin Al-Waleed stood up to him, and they did not cease to hitting his neck until they expelled him. He rode his riding animal and prosed saying a poem, He said, ‘When the command was completed for Abu Bakr, he sent Khalid Bin Al-Waleed and said to him, ‘You have known what he said upon the heads of the witnesses. I am not safe that he might injure us with an injury which will not heal, so kill him’. When Khalid came to him, he was riding his horse being counted as a thousand horses. Khalid feared from him and granted him amnesty, and gave him covenant, then betrayed him afterwards that he should cast down his weapons, and he killed him, and married his wife during that very night of his, and made his head to be in a pot wherein was meat of a camel for the wedding feast of his wife, and mixed in it meat of the donkey’ – and the Hadeeth is lengthy’’.
