قب، المناقب لابن شهرآشوب وَ كَاتَبَنِي الْخَطِيبُ فِي الْأَرْبَعِينَ بِإِسْنَادِهِ عَنِ الْخُدْرِيِّ مَا رَوَيْنَاهُ بِأَسَانِيدَ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ عَنِ الْبَاقِرِ ع أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ص انْقَطَعَ شِسْعُ نَعْلِهِ فَدَفَعَهَا إِلَى عَلِيٍّ ع لِيُصْلِحَهَا فَقَالَ إِنَّ مِنْكُمْ مَنْ يُقَاتِلُ عَلَى تَأْوِيلِ الْقُرْآنِ كَمَا قَاتَلْتُ عَلَى تَنْزِيلِهِ
فَاسْتَشْرَفَ لَهَا الْقَوْمُ فَقَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ أَنَا هُوَ قَالَ لَا قَالَ عُمَرُ أَنَا هُوَ قَالَ لَا وَ لَكِنْ هُوَ خَاصِفُ النَّعْلِ يَعْنِي عَلِيّاً
قَالَ أَبُو سَعِيدٍ فَخَرَجْتُ فَبَشَّرْتُهُ بِمَا قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ص فَلَمْ يَكْتَرِثْ بِهِ فَرَحاً كَأَنَّهُ سَمِعَهُ. ذَكَرَهُ أَحْمَدُ فِي الْفَضَائِلِ وَ الْبُخَارِيُّ وَ مُسْلِمٌ وَ لَفْظُهُ لِمُسْلِمٍ عَنِ الْخُدْرِيِّ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ص [تُفَرِّقُ أُمَّتِي] فِرْقَتَانِ فَيَخْرُجُ مِنْ بَيْنِهِمَا فِرْقَةٌ ثَالِثَةٌ يَلِي قَتْلَهُمْ أَوْلَاهُمْ بِالْحَقِّ.
(The book) ‘Al Manaqib’ of Ibn Shehr Ashub, and the scribe wrote to me in (the book) ‘Al Arbaeen’, by his chain, from Al Khudry, what is being reported by chains from Jabir Bin Yazeed, ‘From Al-Baqir-asws, ‘The Prophet-saww, a strap of his-saww slipper was cut, so he-saww handed it to Ali-asws to repair it. He-saww said: ‘From you all there is one who will fight upon interpretation of the Quran just as I-asws fought upon its Revelation’. The people desired to be ennobled to it, so Abu Bakr said, ‘I am he’. He-saww said: ‘No’. Umar said, ‘I am he’. He-saww said: ‘No, but he is repairer of the slipper’ – meaning Ali-asws. Abu Saeed said, ‘I went out to give him glad tidings of what Rasool-Allah-saww said, but he-asws did not even care with its happiness, as if he-asws had already heard it (before)’’. [147]
Ahmad has mentioned it in (the book) ‘Al Fazaail’, and Al Bukhari, and Muslim, and its wording is of Muslim, from Al Khudri who said, ‘Rasool-Allah-saww said: ‘My-saww community will separate into two sects, and a third sect would emerge from between the two, being in-charge of their killing, their foremost of being with the truth’’. [148]
