مَوْلَاهُ فَعَلِيٌّ مَوْلَاهُ. أَقُولُ رَوَى السَّيُوطِيُّ فِي الدُّرِّ الْمَنْثُورِ عَنِ ابْنِ مَرْدَوَيْهِ وَ ابْنِ عَسَاكِرَ بِإِسْنَادِهِمَا عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ قَالَ: لَمَّا نَصَبَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ص عَلِيّاً ع يَوْمَ غَدِيرِ خُمٍّ فَنَادَى لَهُ بِالْوَلَايَةِ هَبَطَ جَبْرَئِيلُ ع عَلَيْهِ بِهَذِهِ الْآيَةِ الْيَوْمَ أَكْمَلْتُ لَكُمْ دِينَكُمْ. وَ رَوَى أَيْضاً عَنِ ابْنِ مَرْدَوَيْهِ وَ الْخَطِيبِ وَ ابْنِ عَسَاكِرَ بِأَسَانِيدِهِمْ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ: لَمَّا كَانَ يَوْمُ غَدِيرِ خُمٍّ وَ هُوَ الثَّامِنَ عَشَرَ مِنْ ذِي الْحِجَّةِ قَالَ النَّبِيُّ ص مَنْ كُنْتُ مَوْلَاهُ فَعَلِيٌّ مَوْلَاهُ فَأَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ الْيَوْمَ أَكْمَلْتُ لَكُمْ دِينَكُمْ. وَ رَوَى عَنِ ابْنِ جَرِيرٍ بِإِسْنَادِهِ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ وَ إِنْ لَمْ تَفْعَلْ فَما بَلَّغْتَ رِسالَتَهُ يَعْنِي إِنْ كَتَمْتَ هَذِهِ الْآيَةَ يا أَيُّهَا الرَّسُولُ بَلِّغْ ما أُنْزِلَ إِلَيْكَ مِنْ رَبِّكَ مَا نَزَلَ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ يَوْمَ غَدِيرِ خُمٍّ فِي عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ ع. وَ رَوَى عَنِ ابْنِ مَرْدَوَيْهِ بِإِسْنَادِهِ عَنِ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ قَالَ: كُنَّا نَقْرَأُ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ يا أَيُّهَا الرَّسُولُ بَلِّغْ ما أُنْزِلَ إِلَيْكَ مِنْ رَبِّكَ أَنَّ عَلِيّاً مَوْلَى الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَ إِنْ لَمْ تَفْعَلْ فَما بَلَّغْتَ رِسالَتَهُ وَ اللَّهُ يَعْصِمُكَ مِنَ النَّاسِ.
‘One whose Master I-saww was, so Ali-asws is his Master’’. [125]
I (Majlisi) am saying, ‘It is reported by Al Suyuti in (the book) ‘Al Durr Al Mansour’, from Ibn Mardawayh, and Ibn Asakir, by their chains from Abu Saeed Al Khudri who said, ‘When Rasool-Allah-saww nominated Ali-asws on the day of Ghadeer Khumm, and he-saww called for him-asws with the Wilayah, Jibraeel-as descended unto him-saww with this Verse: Today I Perfected your Religion for you [5: 3]’’. [126]
And it is reported as well from Ibn Mardawayh, and Al Khateeb, and Ibn Asakir, by their chains from Abu Hureyra who said, ‘When it was the day of Ghadeer Khumm, and it was the eighteenth of Zul Hijjah, the Prophet-saww said: ‘One whose Master I-saww was, so Ali-asws is his Master’. Allah-azwj Revealed: Today I Perfected your Religion for you [5: 3]’’. [127]
And it is reported from Ibn Jareer, by his chain from Ibn Abbas, ‘and if you don’t do so, then you have not delivered His Message, [5: 67] – meaning if you-saww conceal this Verse. O you Rasool! Deliver what has been Revealed unto you from your Lord [5: 67], what has been Revealed until Rasool-Allah-saww on the day of Ghadeer Khumm, regarding Ali-asws Bin Abu Talib-asws’’. [128]
And it is reported from Ibn Mardawayh, by his chain from Ibn Masoud who said, ‘We used to recite in the era of Rasool-Allah-saww: O you Rasool! Deliver what has been Revealed unto you from your Lord that Ali is Emir of the Momineen; and if you don’t do so, then you have not delivered His Message, and Allah will Protect you from the people [5: 67]’’. [129]
