r with you to one of the nobles, having been written in Roman and in Roman script, and there is a description in it of his benevolence, and his loyalty, and his nobility, and his generosity. Give it to her for her to meditate from it on the mannerisms of its writer. If she inclines to it and agrees, so I am his representative in buying her from you’. Bishr Bin Suleyman said, ‘I compiled entirety of what my Master-asws Abu Al-Hassan-asws had outlined to me regarding the matter of the slave girl. When she looked at the letter, she cried an intense crying and said to Umar Bin Yazeed, ‘Sell me to the writer of this letter! ’ She swore with the solemn vow that if he were to refuse to sell her to him-asws, she would kill herself. She did not cease to look away regarding her price until the matter was settled regarding it based upon the measurement of what my Master-asws had calculated from the Dinars. I paid it and the slave girl submitted laughing, smiling, and I left with her to the chamber which I had sheltered to at Baghdad. She was not seized by calmness until she extracted the letter of our Master-asws from her pocket and she was kissing it, and touching it upon her eyelids, and placing it upon her cheeks, and wiping it upon her body. I said in astonishment from it, ‘You are kissing a letter you do not even know its writer? ’
She said, ‘O you frustrated, the weak of understanding with the position of the children of the Prophets-as! Lend me your ear and free your heart for me. I am Maleeka daughter of Yoshua Bin Caesar, king of Rome, and my mother is from the children of the disciples attributed to the successor-as of the Messiah-as, Shamoun-as. I shall inform you with a wonder. My grandfather Caesar wanted to get me married to a son of his brother, and I was a girl of thirteen. So, he gathered in his castle, from the offspring of the disciples, from the priests and the monks, three hundred men, and from the ones with the threats from them were seven hundred men, and he gathered from the commanders of the armies and leaders of the army, and captains of the armies, and the kings of clans, four thousand, and he brought out from the glory of his kingdom, and throne made from a variety of jewels, and raised it above forty steps. When the son of his brother ascended and I stared at the crucifix, and the bishops stood up in devotion, and spread the Books of the Evangel, the crucifix slipped from the top and hit the ground, and the pillars of the throne crumbled. Then it collapsed to the bottom, and the ascender fell from the throne with unconsciousness upon him. The
