(The book) ‘Tafseer Al Ayyashi’ –
And from him, said, ‘Two men came to the Prophet-saww – a man from Saqyef and a man from the Ansaar. The Saqafi said, ‘O Rasool-Allah-saww, my need! ’
He-saww said: ‘Your brother the Ansaari has preceded you! ’
He said, ‘O Rasool-Allah-saww! I am upon embarking upon a journey and I am in a hurry! ’
The Ansari said, ‘I hereby permit’. The Prophet-saww said: ‘If you like you can like me, and if you like I-saww can initiate you! ’
He said, ‘But, you-saww begin, O Rasool-Allah-saww! ’
He-saww said: ‘You have come to ask about the Salat and about the Ruk’u, and about the Sajdah, and about the Wud’u’. He said, ‘Yes, by the One Who Sent you-saww with the truth! ’
He-saww said: ‘Perfect your Wud’u, and fill your hands from your knees, and rub your forehead in the soil, and pray a farewell Salat (as if it is your last Salat)’. The Ansari said, ‘O Rasool-Allah-saww, my need! ’
He-saww said: ‘If you like you can ask me-saww, and if you like I-saww can initiate you! ’
He said, ‘O Rasool-Allah-saww, you-saww initiate me! ’
He-saww said: ‘You have come to ask about the Hajj, and about the Tawaaf, and about the Sa’ee between Al-Safa and Al-Marwah, and pelting the rocks, and shaving the head, and the day of Arafaah! ’
The man said, ‘Yes, by the One Who Sent you-saww with the truth! ’
He-saww said: ‘Your she-camel will not raise a hoof except Allah-azwj will Write a good deed for you, nor place a hoof except an evil deed will be offloaded from you with it; and Tawaaf of the House, and the Sa’ee between Al-Safa and Al-Marwa will purify from the sins you just as your mother had given you birth; and pelting the rock is a store on the Day of Qiyamah; and shaving the head there will be Noor with every hair on the Day of Qiyamah! And the day of Arafaah, Allah-azwj will Boast with you-azwj to the Angels! Even if you were to attend on that day with sins the number of grains of sand of a desert, and drops (of rain) of the sky, and days of the world, that day will melt it! And he-saww said: ‘There isn’t any servant performing Wud’u, then he kisses Al Hajar (Al Aswad), then he prays two units Salat by Maqam Ibrahim-as, then he returns, so he places his hand upon the door of Kabah, so he praises Allah-azwj, then he will not ask Allah-azwj for anything except He-azwj will Grant it, if Allah-azwj so Desires! ’’[44]
