n-as, the wisdom appeared from him-as, And Ali-asws, all the knowledge burst forth from it. And Allah-azwj the Exalted Said: And We had Given the Wisdom to Luqman: [31: 12], and Said for Ali-asws: The Beneficent [55: 1] Taught the Quran [55: 2]’’. [109]
AND REGARDING HIS-asws EQUALITY WITH DAWOOD–as, AND TALUT, AND SULEYMAN–as
Allah-azwj the Exalted Said: “O Dawood! Surely, We Made you a Caliph in the earth, [38: 26]; and Ali-asws said: ‘One who does not say I-asws am the fourth caliph’ – the Hadeeth. And He-azwj Said: And Dawood killed Goliath [2: 251]; and Ali-asws killed Amro, and Marhab. And there was a rock in it as a means of killing Goliath, and for Ali-asws was a sword annihilating the Kafirs. And He-azwj Said for Dawoodas: and remnants of what the progeny of Musa and the progeny of Haroun have left, [2: 248]; and for Ali-asws and his-asws children: The remaining one of Allah is better for you [11: 86], and the remnant of Allah-azwj is better than the remnant of Musaas. And for Dawood-as there was a chain of the governance, and Ali-asws split the difficult locks Ali-asws judged you all upon. And Dawood-as said: ‘The Praise is for Allah-azwj Who Merited us over the worlds’. And this is a claim. And Allah-azwj Said for Ali-asws: Allah Merited the fighters [4: 95], and this is evidence. And Allah-azwj Said for Dawood-as: And the birds gathered, all responding to him [38: 19], and His-azwj Words: “O mountains and the birds! Repeat Praises with him! ’ [34: 10]. And Ali-asws was glorifying with the pebbles and these would glorify with him-asws. And Allah-azwj Said to Dawood-as: We have been Taught the speech of the birds, [27: 16]. And for Ali-asws there was such a voice, the braves died (from it), and he-asws spoke with the birds in the air. And He-azwj Said for Dawood-as: and We Gave him the Wisdom and Decisive Speech [38: 20], and Said for Ali-asws: Say: Allah is Sufficient as a Witness between me and you and the one who has Knowledge of the Book [13: 43]. And He-azwj Said: and remember Our servant Dawood, possessor of the strength, [38: 17], and Said regarding Ali-asws: He is the One Who Assisted you with His Help and with the Momineen [8: 62]. And Dawood-as is preacher of the Prophets-as, and Ali-asws has been Given the decisive address. And He-azwj Said: So, they defeated them by the Permission of Allah. And Dawood killed Goliath [2: 251], and Ali-asws defeated armies of the Kafirs and the rebels’. And Dawood-as said: ‘Allah has Appointed Talut to be a king over you’. They said: ‘How can he hold kingship over us while we have a greater right to kingship than him, and he has not been Given an abundance from the wealth? ’ [2: 247]. And when the Prophet-saww established Ali-asws in his-saww place, they said approximate to it. The Prophet-saww said: ‘Ali-asws is with the truth’. And He-azwj Said regarding Talut: ‘Allah has Appointed Talut to be a king over you’. [2: 247] and Said regarding Ali-asws: and the progeny of Imran above the worlds [3: 33]. And He-azwj Said regarding Talut: and Allah Grants His Kingdom to the one He so Desires to; [2: 247]; and Said for Ali-asws: And your Lord Creates whatever He so Desires to [28: 68]. And He-azwj Said regarding Talut: and has Increased him abundantly in knowledge and physique; [2: 247], and Ali-asws was most learned of the community, and their bravest. And the children of Israel were thirsty during a military expedition against Goliath. Talut said, ‘Surely Allah will Test you with a river; [2: 249], and it was a river of Palestine: so the one who drinks from it, he isn’t from me. . . but they drank from it except for a few of them [2: 249]; and they were four hundred men, and it is said, three hundred and thirteen from a total of thirty thousand. He said, ‘You did not obey me in drinking water, so how will you obey me during the war? ’ So, he left them being. And Ali-asws, they came to him-asws and said, ‘Extend your hand, we shall pledge allegiance to you-asws! ’ He-asws said: ‘If you were truthful, then come to me-asws tomorrow morning having shaved your heads’ – the Hadeeth. Goliath aimed to uproot the house of Dawood-as, so Dawood-as killed Goliath, and the kingdom settled upon him-as; and the enemies of Ali-asws sought to coerce him-asws, so he-asws killed them, or they died before him-asws, and the Imamate remained for him-asws and for his-asws children-asws: They are intending to extinguish the Light of Allah [61: 8]. Suleyman-as asked the Angel for a ring – Grant me a kingdom, [38: 35], and
