يْهِ سَجَّادَةٌ شَدِيدُ التَّشْمِيرِ صَعِدَ الْمِنْبَرَ أَوَّلَ مَنْ صَعِدَ وَ خَرَّ وَ هُوَ يَبْكِي وَ يَقُولُ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي لَمْ يُمِتْنِي حَتَّى رَأَيْتُكَ فِي هَذَا الْمَكَانِ ابْسُطْ يَدَكَ
فَبَسَطَ يَدَهُ فَبَايَعَهُ ثُمَّ قَالَ يَوْمٌ كَيَوْمِ آدَمَ ثُمَّ نَزَلَ فَخَرَجَ مِنَ الْمَسْجِدِ
فَقَالَ عَلِيٌّ ع يَا سَلْمَانُ أَ تَدْرِي مَنْ هُوَ قُلْتُ لَا وَ لَقَدْ سَاءَتْنِي مَقَالَتُهُ كَأَنَّهُ شَامِتٌ بِمَوْتِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ص
قَالَ عَلِيٌّ ع فَإِنَّ ذَلِكَ إِبْلِيسُ لَعَنَهُ اللَّهُ أَخْبَرَنِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ص أَنَّ إِبْلِيسَ وَ رُؤَسَاءَ أَصْحَابِهِ شَهِدُوا نَصْبَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ص إِيَّايَ يَوْمَ غَدِيرِ خُمٍّ بِمَا أَمَرَهُ اللَّهُ فَأَخْبَرَهُمْ بِأَنِّي أَوْلَى بِهِمْ مِنْ أَنْفُسِهِمْ وَ أَمَرَهُمْ أَنْ يُبَلِّغَ الشَّاهِدُ الْغَائِبَ
فَأَقْبَلَ إِلَى إِبْلِيسَ أَبَالِسَتُهُ وَ مَرَدَةُ أَصْحَابِهِ فَقَالُوا إِنَّ هَذِهِ الْأُمَّةَ أُمَّةٌ مَرْحُومَةٌ مَعْصُومَةٌ فَمَا لَكَ وَ لَا لَنَا عَلَيْهِمْ سَبِيلٌ وَ قَدْ أُعْلِمُوا مَفْزَعَهُمْ وَ إِمَامَهُمْ بَعْدَ نَبِيِّهِمْ فَانْطَلَقَ إِبْلِيسُ كَئِيباً حَزِيناً وَ
قَالَ أَمِيرُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ع فَأَخْبَرَنِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ص أَنْ لَوْ قُبِضَ أَنَّ النَّاسَ سَيُبَايِعُونَ أَبَا بَكْرٍ فِي ظُلَّةِ بَنِي سَاعِدَةَ بَعْدَ تَخَاصُمِهِمْ بِحَقِّنَا وَ حُجَّتِنَا ثُمَّ يَأْتُونَ الْمَسْجِدَ فَيَكُونُ أَوَّلُ مَنْ يُبَايِعُهُ عَلَى مِنْبَرِي إِبْلِيسَ فِي صُورَةِ شَيْخٍ كَبِيرٍ مُشَمِّرٍ يَقُولُ كَذَا وَ كَذَا
ثُمَّ يَخْرُجُ فَيَجْمَعُ شَيَاطِينَهُ وَ أَبَالِسَتَهُ فَيَخِرُّونَ سُجَّداً وَ يَقُولُونَ يَا سَيِّدَهُمْ وَ يَا كَبِيرَهُمْ أَنْتَ الَّذِي أَخْرَجْتَ آدَمَ مِنَ الْجَنَّةِ
فَيَقُولُ أَيُّ أُمَّةٍ لَمْ تَضِلَّ بَعْدَ نَبِيِّهَا كَلَّا زَعَمْتُمْ أَنْ لَيْسَ لِي عَلَيْهِمْ سَبِيلٌ فَكَيْفَ رَأَيْتُمُونِي صَنَعْتُ بِهِمْ حِينَ تَرَكُوا مَا أَمَرَهُمُ اللَّهُ بِهِ مِنْ طَاعَتِهِ وَ أَمَرَهُمْ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ص وَ ذَلِكَ قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى وَ لَقَدْ صَدَّقَ عَلَيْهِمْ إِبْلِيسُ ظَنَّهُ فَاتَّبَعُوهُ إِلَّا فَرِيقاً مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ
قَالَ سَلْمَانُ فَلَمَّا أَنْ كَانَ اللَّيْلُ حَمَلَ عَلِيٌّ ع فَاطِمَةَ ع عَلَى حِمَارٍ وَ أَخَذَ بِيَدِ ابْنَيْهِ الْحَسَنِ وَ الْحُسَيْنِ ع فَلَمْ يَدَعْ أَحَداً مِنْ أَهْلِ بَدْرٍ مِنَ الْمُهَاجِرِينَ وَ لَا مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ إِلَّا أَتَاهُ فِي مَنْزِلِهِ فَذَكَّرَهُمْ حَقَّهُ وَ دَعَاهُمْ إِلَى نُصْرَتِهِ
فَمَا اسْتَجَابَ لَهُ مِنْهُمْ إِلَّا أَرْبَعَةٌ وَ أَرْبَعُونَ رَجُلًا فَأَمَرَهُمْ أَنْ يُصْبِحُوا بُكْرَةً مُحَلِّقِينَ رُءُوسَهُمْ مَعَهُمْ سِلَاحُهُمْ ل

He (Abu Bakr) extended his hand, and he pledged allegiance to him. Then he said, ‘A day like the day of Adam-as. Then he descended and went out from the Masjid’. Ali-asws said: ‘O Salman-ra! Do you know who he was? ’ I-ra said, ‘No, and his words had displeased me-ra, as if he was gloating with the expiry of Rasool-Allah-saww’. Ali-asws said: ‘For sure he was Iblees-la, may Allah-azwj Curse him-la. Rasool-Allah-saww informed me-asws that Iblees-la and the chief of his-la companions attended my-asws nomination by Rasool-Allah-saww on the day of Ghadeer Khumm with what Allah-azwj had Commanded him. So he-saww informed them that I-asws was foremost with them than their own selves, and ordered them that the one present should deliver to the absentee. So they turned to Iblees-la, his-la devils, and castaways of his-la companions and they said to him-la, ‘This community is a Mercied community, protected. There is neither any way for you-la nor for us upon them, and they have already known their shelter and their Imam-asws after their Prophet-saww’. Iblees-la went away bleak, grieving. Amir Al-Momineen-asws said: ‘Rasool-Allah-saww informed me-asws: ‘If I-saww were to pass away, the people would be pledging allegiance to Abu Bakr in a shade (shed) of the clan of Saaida after their disputing our-asws rights and our-asws arguments. Then they would come to the Masjid and the first one to pledge allegiance to upon my-saww pulpit would be Iblees-la in the image of an old man, aged, tucked up. He-la would be saying such and such. Then he-la would go out and gather his-la satans, and his-la devils. They would fall down in Sajdah and say, ‘O their chief, and O their elder! You-la are the one who got Adam-as expelled from the Paradise’. He-la would say, ‘Yes, Which community did not stray after its Prophet-as? Never! You are alleging that there is no way for me-la upon them, so how do you-la see me-la doing with them when they neglected what Allah-azwj had Commanded them with of obeying him-asws, and Rasool-Allah-saww had ordered them (as well), and that is the Word of the Exalted: And Iblees did ratify his conjecture upon them, so they (all) followed him except a group from the Momineen [34: 20]’. Salman-ra said, ‘When it was the night, Ali-asws carried (Syeda) Fatima-asws upon a donkey and held the hands of his-asws two sons-asws Al-Hassan-asws and Al-Husayn-asws. He-asws did not leave anyone from the people of Badr (participants in the battle), neither from the Emigrants nor from the Helpers, except he-asws came to him in his house, and reminded them of his-asws right, and called them to help him-asws. But no one from them answered to him-asws except forty four men. He-asws instructed them they should come in early morning having shaved their heads, having their weapons with them, in order to pledge allegiance to him-asws upon the death. They woke up in the morning and not one of them was loyal except four’. I said to Salman-ra, ‘Who were the four? ’ He-ra said, ‘I
