َ جَذِلَةٌ عَلَى مَنْ خَالَفَكَ وَ تَوَلَّى الْأَمْرَ دُونَكَ وَ اللَّهِ مَا أُحِبُّ أَنَّ لِي مَا عَلَى الْأَرْضِ مِمَّا أَقَلَّتْ وَ مَا تَحْتَ السَّمَاءِ مِمَّا أَظَلَّتْ وَ أَنِّي وَالَيْتُ عَدُوّاً لَكَ أَوْ عَادَيْتُ وَلِيّاً لَكَ
فَقَالَ عَلِيٌّ ع اللَّهُمَّ ارْزُقْهُ الشَّهَادَةَ فِي سَبِيلِكَ وَ الْمُرَافَقَةَ لِنَبِيِّكَ
ثُمَّ إِنَّ عَلِيّاً صَعِدَ الْمِنْبَرَ فَخَطَبَ النَّاسَ وَ دَعَاهُمْ إِلَى الْجِهَادِ فَبَدَأَ بِحَمْدِ اللَّهِ وَ الثَّنَاءِ عَلَيْهِ ثُمَّ قَالَ إِنَّ اللَّهَ قَدْ أَكْرَمَكُمْ بِدِينِهِ وَ خَلَقَكُمْ لِعِبَادَتِهِ فَأَنْصِبُوا أَنْفُسَكُمْ فِي أَدَائِهَا وَ تَنَجَّزُوا مَوْعُودَهُ وَ اعْلَمُوا أَنَّ اللَّهَ جَعَلَ أَمْرَاسَ الْإِسْلَامِ مَتِينَةً وَ عُرَاهُ وَثِيقَةً
ثُمَّ جَعَلَ الطَّاعَةَ حَظَّ الْأَنْفُسِ وَ رِضَا الرَّبِّ وَ غَنِيمَةَ الْأَكْيَاسِ عِنْدَ تَفْرِيطِ الْعَجَزَةِ وَ قَدْ حَمَلْتُ أَمْرَ أَسْوَدِهَا وَ أَحْمَرِهَا وَ لا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللَّهِ وَ نَحْنُ سَائِرُونَ إِنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ إِلَى مَنْ سَفِهَ نَفْسَهُ وَ تَنَاوَلَ مَا لَيْسَ لَهُ
وَ مَا لَا يُدْرِكُهُ مُعَاوِيَةُ وَ جُنْدُهُ الْفِئَةُ الطَّاغِيَةُ الْبَاغِيَةُ يَقُودُهُمْ إِبْلِيسُ وَ يُبَرِّقُ لَهُمْ بَيَارِقَ تَسْوِيفِهِ وَ يُدْلِيهِمْ بِغُرُورِهِ وَ أَنْتُمْ أَعْلَمُ النَّاسِ بِالْحَلَالِ وَ الْحَرَامِ فَاسْتَغْنُوا بِمَا عَلِمْتُمْ وَ احْذَرُوا مَا حَذَّرَكُمُ اللَّهُ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ وَ ارْغَبُوا فِيمَا هَيَّأَ لَكُمْ عِنْدَهُ مِنَ الْأَجْرِ وَ الْكَرَامَةِ
وَ اعْلَمُوا أَنَّ الْمَسْلُوبَ مَنْ سُلِبَ دِينَهُ وَ أَمَانَتَهُ وَ الْمَغْرُورَ مَنْ آثَرَ الضَّلَالَةَ عَلَى الْهُدَى فَلَا أَعْرِفَنَّ أَحَداً مِنْكُمْ تَقَاعَسَ عَنِّي
وَ قَالَ فِي غَيْرِي كِفَايَةٌ فَإِنَّ الذَّوْدَ إِلَى الذَّوْدِ إِبِلٌ مَنْ لَا يَذُدْ عَنْ حَوْضِهِ يُهَدَّمْ
ثُمَّ إِنِّي آمُرُكُمْ بِالشِّدَّةِ فِي الْأَمْرِ وَ الْجِهَادِ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ وَ أَنْ لَا تَغْتَابُوا مُسْلِماً وَ انْتَظِرُوا النَّصْرَ الْعَاجِلَ مِنَ اللَّهِ إِنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ
ثُمَّ قَامَ ابْنُهُ الْحَسَنُ ع فَقَالَ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ لَا إِلَهَ غَيْرُهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ ثُمَّ إِنَّ مِمَّا عَظَّمَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْكُمْ مِنْ حَقِّهِ وَ أَسْبَغَ عَلَيْكُمْ مِنْ نِعَمِهِ مَا لَا يُحْصَى ذِكْرُهُ وَ لَا يُؤَدَّى شُكْرُهُ وَ لَا يَبْلُغُهُ قَوْلٌ وَ لَا صِفَةٌ
وَ نَحْنُ إِنَّمَا غَضَبْنَا لِلَّهِ وَ لَكُمْ فَإِنَّهُ مَنَّ عَلَيْنَا بِمَا هُوَ أَهْلُهُ أَنْ نَشْكُرَ فِيهِ آلَاءَهُ وَ بَلَاءَهُ وَ نَعْمَاءَهُ قَوْلٌ يَصْعَدُ إِلَى اللَّهِ فِيهِ الرِّضَا وَ تَنْتَشِرُ فِيهِ عَارِفَةُ الصِّدْقِ يُصَدِّقُ اللَّهُ فِيهِ قَوْلَنَا وَ نَسْتَوْجِبُ فِيهِ الْمَزِيد
t beloved to me, whatever is upon the earth from what it carries, and whatever is under the sky from what it shades, and I should befriend an enemy of yours-asws or be inimical to a friend of yours-asws’. Ali-asws said: ‘O Allah-azwj! Grace him the martyrdom in Your-azwj Way, and the friendship of Your-azwj Prophet-saww’. Then Ali-asws ascended the pulpit and addressed the people and called them to the Jihad. He-asws began with praising Allah-azwj and the extolling upon Him-azwj, the said: ‘Allah-azwj had Honoured them with His-azwj religion and Created you for worshipping Him-azwj. Set up yourselves in performing it and fulfil His-azwj Promises, and know that Allah-azwj Made the practices of as solid, and His-azwj Handhold is firm. Then He-azwj Made the obedience as a fortune of the self and Pleasure of the Lord-azwj, and benefit the clever people during excessive frustration, and I-asws have carried matters of its black ones and its red ones, and there is no strength except with Allah-azwj, and if Allah-azwj so Desires, we shall be travelling to the one who has stultified (belittled) his self and has taken what isn’t for him. And whatever Muawiya does not come across, and his army of tyrants, the rebels, Iblees-la would guide them, and flash for them a distant flashing and point them with his-la deceptiveness, and you are a people knowing the Permissible(s) and the Prohibitions, therefore you are needless due to what you known, and be cautious of what Allah-azwj has Cautioned you of Satan-la, and be desirous regarding what is prepared for you in His-azwj Presence, from the Recompense and the Prestige. And know that the plundered is the one whose religion and his entrustment has been plundered, and the deceived is the one who prefers the straying over the guidance. I-asws do not know of anyone from you being careless about me-asws’. And he-asws said: ‘In others there is a sufficiency, for the protection to the protection of the camels. One who does not protect (defend) from his own fountain, would be demolished’. Then I-asws am instructing you all with the intensity in the matter and the Jihad in the Way of Allah-azwj, and that you will not slander a Muslim and you shall await the immediate Help from Allah-azwj, if Allah-azwj so Desires’. Then his-asws son-asws Al-Hassan-asws stood up and said: ‘The Praise is for Allah-azwj. There is no god apart from Him-azwj, there being no associates for Him-azwj. Then, from what Allah-azwj has Magnified upon you all of His-azwj rights, and Perfected upon you of His-azwj Bounties what its mention cannot be counted, and its thanks cannot be fulfilled, nor can words reach it nor describe. And rather we are angered for the Sake of Allah-azwj for He-azwj has Conferred upon us with what He-azwj is rightful of that we should be thankful regarding those of His-azwj Favours and His-azwj Afflictions and His-azwj Bounties, words ascending to Allah-azwj wherein is the Pleasure and spread in it one’s understanding of the truthfulness, our words
